ADAMS COUNTY NURSES RAVE MEETING AT BERNE A recent meeting of the Adams county Nurses Associatibn was held at the First Bank of Befne. Following the business session conducted by the president, Mrs. Denzil Dowell, an article on a new drug for diabetes, called prinase, was discussed by Mrs. Carl Luginbill. Don Young, drug salesman from a Fort Wayne concern, then gave an interesting talk on “selling.” Several contests were participated in, after which refreshments were served by Mrs. Dorothy Habegger and her assisting committee. BERNE WOMAN NAMED TO HEAD MISSIONARY RALLY Mrs. E. G. Steiner, of Berne, was recently named president of the Indiana Mennonite women's missionary rally for next year. PSI IOTA XI SORORITY HAS HALLOWEEN PARTY Psi Ote ghosts and goblins haunted the Elks home Tuesday evening, as the local sorority members met there for an evening of fun and festivities. The D.A.V. Halloween party, scheduled for Friday evening, has been cancelled due to the high prevalence of illness. The Loyal Daughters class of the Bethany Evangelical United Brethren church will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the°home of Mrs. John Welch, with Mrs. Robert Ga-1 rard and Mrs. Orie Newhard assisting. Each member is asked to bring her baby picture. The local Pythian Sister temple will go to-4)ssian next Monday eve* ning, where they will join that temple for a joint inspection. All women of the Eureka temple planning to go are to call Mrs. Ahr, 3-3283, no later than Thursday evening. The inspection Monday will begin at 8 p.m. Evening circle 1 of the Methodist church will meet at 8 p.m. Monday, in the church lounge. Members of the V.F.W. ladies auxiliary will attend a Halloween party Friday, at 6:30 p.m., at Han-na-Nuttman park. - An invitation has been received from the local D.A.V. chapter 91 ind its auxiliary, to attend the state department dinner at Elmer Pond chapter home, 1706 South Calhoun street, Fort Wayne, November 3.
