this Ring, and “Because of You,” were two of the organ selections, while vocal selections included “Because,” “I Love You Truly,” and “The Lord’s Prayer.” Given in marriage by her brother, Robert Goelz, the bride appeared in a floor length gown of chanilly lace over white taffeta. The fitted bodice of the gown featured a scalloped neckline and long tapered sleeves which formed points over her hands. Her bouffant skirt of lace was detailed with scallops, showing the bottom of the heavy taffeta underskirt. A pearl tiara held her fingertip veil of illusion in place, and she carried a floral arrangement of white roses, from which fell tiny white streamers.

The Misses Katherine and Marjorie Goelz, sisters of the bride, attended as maid-of-honor and bridesmaid; respectively. They were attired in waltz length gown* of orchid taffeta, styled with rounded necklines and cap sleeves, and bouffant skirts. Tiaras covered" with orchid colored taffeta and chantilly lace complemented their ensembles, and they carried arrangements of yellow mums, tied with yellow ribbon. William Houtzer, of Auburn, attended the bridegroom as best man, and guests were seated by Richard Hoffman and Robert Dreyer, both of Fort Wayne. For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Goelz wore a plum colored dress, styled with a full skirt. She wore darker accessories and a carnation corsage to match the color of her dress. A three-tiered wedding cake centered the bride’s table, which was covered with a white hand-croch-eted cloth over pink paper. Candelabra were placed on either end of the table. Guests were served by Miss Sarah Ervin, of Huntington; Miss Ellen Baxter, Marion, and Miss Dawn Hickman, of Pierceton. When the couple left for a trip through northern Michigan, Mrs. Stafford was wearing a green ensemble, with black accessories and a corsage from her bridal bouquet.
