Mary Lou Garlinger, 17, of Bryant, driver of the car, told investigating officers that she came up over the upgrade and when applying the brakes, lost control of the car. The vehicle left the road on the left traveled for 87 feet, and after rolling over, came to rest op its left side. Passersby were able to push the car into an upright position, and the girls were taken to the office of a Berne physician. Mrs. Garlinger was treated' for a bruised upper right leg, while her companion, Judith E. Roop, of Portland, was treated for a lacerated nose, forehead, face and left knee.
