Miss Bradtmueller Is Bride Saturday Os Donald Werling Pledging nuptial vows in St. John’s Lutheran church. Miss Annette Bradtmueller, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bradtmueller, route one, Hoagland, and Donald F. Werling, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Werling, route two, New Haven, were wed Saturday evenipg at 6:30 9’clock. Before an altar graced with palms and white and pink carnations, the Rev. Edwin Jacob received the vows of the double-ring ceremony. W. E. Uffleman, organist, and the church choir gave the pre-nuptial musicale. Rose patterned French lace and pleated tulle over satin made the gown of the bride, who was given in marriage by her father. Featured on the lace bodice were a small collar and long sleeves, and wide bands of lace encircled the chapel length pleated tulle skirt. A lace bonnet held in place an illusion veil which fell to her fingertips. Her bridal bouquet was of pink roses centered with an orchid. Maid of honor was Miss Berneice Werling, sister of the bridegroom, and bridesmaids were Miss Janice Melcher, cousin of the bridegroom, and Miss Alice Bultemeier, with Miss Janet Bradtmueller, niece of the bride, acting as flower girl. They wore floor length gowns of’ taffeta and nylon, in empire style. Rounded necklines in front dipped to Vs in back. The honor attendant’s ensemble was blue, the bridesmaids’ and flower girl’s, rose, each with matching headpieces. Pink roses and white carnations were the attendant’s flowers. Duane Kiefer, nephew of the bride, served as ring bearer. Gilbert Bradtmueller, brother of the bride, was best man, and ushers were Marvin Werling. brother of the bridegroom, and Loyd Bradtmueller, brother of the bride. which was complemented with a corsage of pink and white carnations. Mrs. Werling selected a light blue dress, with which she wore a pink and white carnation corsage. At the home of the bride’s parents. following the ceremony, the bridal party received 450 guests. Serving at the reception were the Mesdames Cletus Miller, Jr., Henry Lehrman, and Eugene Melcher, and the Misses Bernice Neiter, Gretchen Thieme, Berneice Kleine, Verdonna Woebbeking, and Kathleen and Rita Scheuman. When the newlyweds left on a short wedding trip, the bride was wearing a two-piece rose dress complemented by white accessories. Graduated from Hoagland high school, the bride is employed by the Fort Wayne Tailoring company. The bridegroom attended New Haven high school and is an employe of Burns’ Body Shop in Fort Wayne. Mr. and Mrs. Werling will reside on route two. New Haven. BEER-STAUFFER VOWS ARE RECITED JULY 4 - » Thursday, reciting nuptial vows in the parsonage of the First Mennonite church, Berne, Miss Alics Stauffer and DeWayne Beer were united in marriage, the Rev. O. A. Krehbiel solemnizing the rite. Mr. and Mrs. Waldo J. Stauffer are the parents of the bride and < Mr. and Mrs. Chris Moeschberger are the parents of the bridegroom. White and blue taffeta and nylon fashioned the street-length dress the bride chose. A corsage of white carnations complemented her attire. Attending the couple were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Moeschberger. Serving for a reception held in the church basement after the ceremony for approximately 50 guests were Mrs. George Schlagenhauf and Mrs. Godfrey Bertsch. Tending the guest book was Mrs. Stanley Luginbill, sister of the bride, while Mrs. Roger Kuhn, also a sister of the bride, took care of the gift table. Niagara Falls was the destination of Mr. and Mrs. Beer's wedding trip. Upon returning, the newlyweds will reside west of Berne. Beer is an employe of the Adams county highway department. Tuesday evening the Olive Rebekah lodge will convene for their regular 7:30 o’clock meeting, at the Odd Fellows hall. Mrs. Raymond Voglewede will be hostess to Our Lady of Lourdes study club Wednesday evening at 8 p.m. WSCS meeting of the Salem Methodist church will be Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Clifford Roe.

MISS LEHMAN REPEATS VOWS SUNDAY IN BAPTIST CHURCH In the First Baptist church, the Rev. Stuart Brightwell officiating! the Rev. Willis Gierhart assisting, Miss Cynthia Ann Lehman, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Warren W. Lehman, route three, Decatur, exchanged double-ring wedding vows with Arlen Roy Mitchel, eldest son of Mr. and MrtK Russell Mitchel, route one, Monroe, Sunday afternoon. Preceding the 2:30 o’clock ceremony, Chester Longenberger, organist, played "I Love Thee,” "I Love You Truly,” “Indian Love Call.” and “God Gave Me You.” Mrs. Eugene Lehman, soloist, t presented "Because,” “0, Promise Me,” and "Saviour Like a Shepherd.” Vases of pink and white gladiolus, palms, and candelabra adorned the church, as the bride, given in marriage by her father, appeared in a gown of point d'sprit tulle over taffeta. The aisle was laid with the traditional white carpet, and white satin bows marked the , pews. Three tiers formed the floorlength bridal skirt, and long sleeves and a sabrina neckline detailed” the bodice. Her fingertip veil of imported illusion was caught to a half crown of flower sequins, and she carried a bouquet of pink roses. Miss Betty Steury, of Berne, acted as maid of honor, and Miss Carol Jane Heller was bridesmaid. They wore gowns of 'white chantilly lace over aqua taffeta. Aqua chiffon cummerbunds accented the bouffant skirtsjtand ended in long streamers at ’ the hems of the gowns. White nylon picture hats trimmed with streamers and bouquets of pink carnations completed the attendants’ ensembles. Attending as best man was Jerry Mitchel, of near Monroe. Edward Nussbaum, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, helped seat guests before serving also as groomsman. Other ushers were Allen Lehman, brother of the bride, and Larry Lautzenheiser, friend of the bridegroom. Immediately following the ceremony, 200 guests attended the reception held at the Decatur Youth and Community center. Pink roses adorned the wedding table, which held a four-tiered wedding cake. Servers were the Misses Cecilia Lehman, sister of the bride: Caro- , lyn Mitchel, sister of the bridegroom; Joyce Irwin, Decatur; and Marjorie Sprunger, Berne, and Mrs. Robert Cable, Berne. The Misses Diane and Pat Liechty, cousins of the bride, were registrars. For traveling east, the bride changed into a blue nylon dr.ess with white accessories. Both Mr. and Mrs. Mitchel are graduates of Adams Central high school. He is employed at th<i Berne Furniture company, and is a member of the Indiana Air National guard. They will make their home two miles east of Monroe. Thursday the Town and Country home demonstration club will meet with Mrs. John Bayles at 1 o’clock in the afternoon. Mrs. Clarence Mitchel will speak on mental health, and Mrs. Herman Von Gunten will serve as assistant hostess. Trinity Evangelical United Brethren church Work and Win class will get together for a picnic at Hanna-Nuttman park Thursday evening, beginning at 6 o’clock. Picnic supper for the Everready Sunday school class of the First Methodist church will begin at 6 n.m. Thursday at the home of Mrs. Gail Baughman. Each person is to bring one dish. Youth Fellowship of the Trinity Evangelical United Brethren church is sponsor of the ice cream social to be held Friday evening from 6 to 9:30 o’clock on the church lawn. All friends of the community are invited to come, say the members. Queen of the Rosary study club will meet with Mrs. George Tricker Thursday evening at 6:30 o’clock. At the Adams county memorial hospital: Vernon and Carol Baumgartner Seitz,J3omestead 45, became parents of a daughter weighing five pounds, 15 ounces, at 6:50 p.m. Saturday. Today at 2:30 a.m., a daughter weighing trhee pounds, 12% ounces was bom to Allen and Mary Jane Rice Girod, Monroe. At 4:18 a.m. today, Eugene and Betty Kukelhan Hill, 518 Madison street Decatur, became the patents of an eight-pound, six-ounce son. MISS SARA FRANK 18 BRIDE OF L. J. MONTAGUE 111 Miss Sara Jane Frank became the bride of L. J. Montague 111 in a Rev. L. T. Norris at 6:30 o’clock double-ring rite performed by the Saturday evening in the Union Chapel Evangelical United Brethren church. Candelabra, palms, and baskets of spring flowers adorned the church for the marriage of the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Myron Frank, route five, Decatur, and L. J. Montague 11, San Mateo, Calif. Along with the wedding march. “The Lord’s Prayer,” “Because,” and “I Love You Truly” were included in the musicale, with Mrs. J. Fred Fruchte, organist. Given in marriage by her brother, John Frank, the bride wore a gown of nylon and acetate lace combined with nylon net fully lined with acetate taffeta. Scalloped tiers over a net underskirt fashioned the skirt. Her lace jacket was styled with a Peter Pan collar and long, tapered sleeves. Her shoulde? length veil was held in place “by a pearl-and-lace cap, and she carried a white orchid. In a ballerina length gown of white lace over blue taffeta. Miss Shirley Workinger was her only attendant. The fitted bodice of her gown was styled with a cowl neckline that came to a V in back, and was completed in a soft stole that, fell into deep panels. A white nylon net ruffle accented the blue taffeta headdress, and she carried a bouquet of pink roses. Best man was James Moser. Fort Wayqe, and John Frank seated guests. . ..... Mrs. Frank ‘chose a dress of dusty rose lace over acetate taffeta, with white and black accents and a white carnation corsage. The grandmother of the bridegroom attended the wedding in an ensemble of navy blue, with which she wore white accessories and a corsage of pink carnations. , At the reception at the home of the bride’s parents, after the wedding, a miniature bridal couple topped the round four-tier wedding cake. Spring flowers and tapers adorned the serving table, while Mrs. Max Andrews and Miss Mary Harkless servefl. Natural straw accessories complemented the bride’s going-away suit. She also wore the white orchid she carried in the ceremony. Mrs. Montague is a graduate of Decatur high school. Her husband was graduated from Chester Ceftter high school, and was formerly associated with Zintsmaster’s motor sales. He is serving in the army at San Antonio. Tex., where the newlyweds will live. Ann Alice Ruble Wed Saturday To Donald Bieber ch I With white and burgundy gladioli, candelabra, and palms gracing the Zion Lutheran church, the Rev. Edgar P. Schmidt solemnized the marriage of Miss Ann Alice Ruble to Donald Leroy Bieberich at 6:30 o'clock Saturday evening. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Romey Ruble, Monroeville; she is their youngest daughter. The bridegroom is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur H. Bieberich, Who reside in Preble. “O, Promise Me,” “Wedding Prayer,” “The Lord’s Prayer,” and “God Gave Me You” were the selections Mrs. Dan Freeby presented on the organ before the double-ring ceremony. Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride appeared in a ballerina length gown fashioned of white chantilly lace over taffeta. Detailing the bodice were a portrait collar” and long sleeves, and ! its princess lines extended in side panels of lace onto the ruffled > skirt. Her illusion veil was caught to a chantilly lace wedding cap, and atop her white Bible she carried three red roses surrounded by white roses and white ribbon streamers. Miss Judy Ruble served as her sisters’ only attendant in a lace ballerina length gown in pale blue, the color of her narrow headdress. She carried pale blue pompons complemented with blue and white streamers. Groomsman was Loren Bieberich, brother of the bridegroom and ushers were Richard Bieberich, his brother, and Ted, Tom and Roxy

Ruble, all brothers of the bride. Mrs. Ruble selected a black summer dress with which she wore white accessories and a corsage* of white roses. Dusty, rose was the color of the dress the mother of the bridegroom chose. She completed her ensemble with white accessories and a corsage of white . roses. r ' ~ T Three hundred guests were received at the Zion parish hall during the reception, which began at 7 o’clock. Surrounding the white rectangular wedding cake were flowers, and a punch bowl with green and pink mints and nuts also set the serving table. The' Mesdames Roxy and Tom Ruble and the Misses Eva Mae Plumley, Sharon Sue Holt, Shirley Wass, and Lourine Wass served. White and red roses complemented the bride’s white going-away ensemble. Mrs. Bieberich is an alumna of Monroeville high school and her husband was graduated from Decatur high school. Both are employes of the First State Bank of Decatur. * The newlyweds will make their home on route two, Monroeville. ■ Gerald Martin Taken To Hospital Saturday Gerald Martin, of 618 West Madison, who has been ill for the past three weeks, was taken to the Adams county memorial hospital Saturday morning, with a blood clot on his liver. When his condition became more serious Saturday evening, he was transferred to the Lutheran hospital in Fort Wayne, where he is reported to be improving today.
