Mo., will go ahead as scheduled Sunday, thanks to the local Red Cross office. An ex-serviceman, his wife and sister-in-law, of Montpelier, Vt. developed car trouble while passing through Decatur Thursday, and since they were without funds, appealed to the local police department. After hearing their story, the police referred them to the Red Cross office. It sterns the sister-in-law is engaged to wed a farmer in the Potosi area on Sunday, and because of the car trouble, the group was without food or money with which to resume their trip. A loan was granted to the trio, and after eating here and acquiring food for the remainder of the trip, they were on their way to Missouri and a wedding. Trade in a good town — Decatur

Mrs. C. N. Stucky Dies This Morning Funeral Services Sunday Afternoon MrS. C. N. Stucky, 88, died at 7:15 o’clock this morning at the Clinton Dubach home, three miles west and one mile south of Bqrne. She had been bedfast for the past 20 months. She and her husband had made their home with the Dubachs for the past 15 months. Born Dec. 21. 1868, she was a daughter of Nicholas and Verena i Schmucker-Stucky, and was married to C. N. Stucky Feb. 22. 1892. Mrs. Stucky was a member of the Evangelical Mennonlte church. Surviving in addition to her busband are two sons. Peter Stucky of Flanigin, 111., and Ezra Stucky of Gridley. Ill.; two daughters, Mrs. Clinton Dubach of Berne route 1, and Mrs. Ernest Sommers of Berne route 2; 22 grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren. Three daughters, one son, three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death. Funeral sei-vices will be held at 2 p. m. Sunday at the Evangelical Mennonite church, the Rev. E. G. Steiner officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body was Removed to the Yager funeral home at Berne, where friends may call after noon Saturday until time of the services.

Bierly Reelected Commission Head G. Remy Bierly. Decatur, was reelected chairman of the Anthony Wayne Parkway commission for the next year, and Robert H. Heller, Decatur, was elected secretary, at a recent meeting of the commission in Fort Wayne. Muri Lybarger, former resident of Linn Grove, and now a Hoagland bank cashier, was welcomed to the membership of the commission. He was appointed io a fouryear term by the governor, succeeding the late Col. Clyde F. Dreisbach. The commission has recently completed action id marking the historic trail of Wayne’s army through Ohio, Adams county, and Allen county to Fort Wayne, followed in 1793-4 by the famous general. Rites Held Today For Rev. W. E. Dye Funeral services were held this afternoon in Columbus, for the Rev. W. E. Dye. pastor at Lina Grove and Old Salem EUB churches for the past two years. Rev. Dye, about 65 years of age, left Linn Grove June 18 for Tampa. Fla., where he was to retire and make, his future home. In the ministry fbr 47 years, he began in 1910 in southern Indiana, often riding On horseback to reach his church. Funeral Held Today For Drowning Victim Funeral services were held this morning at the Methodist church at Willshire, 0., for Russell Price, 47. of that town, who was one of two men drowned in a boating mishap on Lake St. Mary's near St. Mary’s, 0.. last Sunday. The body of Mr. Price, an employe of the Decatur Casting Co., was not recovered until Wednesday morning. He is survived by his wife, Isabel; a son, Eugene Price, in the Army at Ft. Knox, Ky.; a daughter, Sharon, at home, and a brother, George Price of Fort Wayne. Frank Millis Visits In City Wednesday Frank T. Millis, vice president of Fidelity Bank and Trust Co., Indianapolis, who has served Indiana for more than 20 years as state auditor, treasurer and head of the department of finance, visited in Decatur and Berne last Wednesday. The Indianapolis banker, long a favorite with Adams county political leaders, was making his first visit hege as a business man, all of his other visits have been political. He is well known in Adams county and spent almost the entire day calling on friends. ♦
