Knapp, 72, co-owner of a concern here which still makes horsedrawn buggies, died Sunday of a heart seizure while driving his automobile. Knapp’s Standard Vehicle Co. made buggies for Hollywood movies and the MackHnac Island, Mich., resort area.

Samuel Emerick, formerly pastor of the First Methodist church here, recently took over as first director of the Yokefellow Institute at Richmond. The Yokefellow movement is interdenominational, and was founded by Dr. Elton Trueblood. widely known Quaker, author. and lecturer. “Yokefellows believe that work in the Christian cause must not be limited to professional clergymen and teachers. They stress a ‘ministry’ that operates on the everyday level through everyday work and social contacts. They adopt for themselves certain voluntary disciplines of study, prayer, worship- service, and giving a certain portion of their income to Christian ca\4htv ’.s ßev - Emerick reports. Three Persons Dead In Airplane Crash SUMNER, Hl. W — Lee O. Fiscus, 39, Black Oak, Ind., was one of two persons killed outright ond a third person Was fatally injured Sunday when a private plane crashed in Red Hill State Park near here. Fiscus, pilot of the plane, and Mildred Hess, 6, Sumner, were killed when the plane plunged to earth while Fiscus was preparing to land on a in the state park. The girl’s mother, Mrs. Madelon Ridgely. 33, died in Ricnland county hospital in nearby Olney from injuries sustained in the crash shortly after the I mishap. An aqua cummerbund, ending in a back bow, tnj circled her waist. An aqua picture I hat and a cascade of white pom pons and aqua carnations falling from a basket of white satin and lace ruffles complemented the honor attendant’s gown. The Misses Muriel Ann Foor, Monroe; and Marilyn Luginbill, Linn Grove: attended as bridesmaids, in ensembles like Mrs. Marckel’s. Flower girls were the Misses Kathy Roughia, Decatur, and Jencffer i Jones, East Moriches, N. I were gowned in aqua taffeta. Their dresses were accented with big white nylon bows, and they carried baskets of aqua and white flowers. __ Kenneth Marckel, Decatur, attended as best man, and Larry Moses and Allen Bowen, Decatur, seated the guests. Junior groomsmen were Glen Marckel, Monroe. And Jack Jones, East Moriches, N.Y. Dusty rose lace fashioned the dress Mrs. Gottshall chose for her daughter’s wedding. White accessories and a corsage of wh.te carnations completed her ensemble, ♦tfrs. „Gephart attended the event in a powder blue lace dress, which she accented with white complements. She wore a corsage of the white orchid from her bridal bouquet. Graduated from Pleasant Mills high school, the bride works at International Harvester in Fort Wayne. Mrs. Clara Flauding Is Taken By Death Mrs. Clara Flauding, T 4, of Geneva, died Saturday noon at the Adams county -memorial hospital, where she had been a patient two weeks. Surviving are a half-sister, Mrs. Gladys Peters of Portland; a half-brother. Wilmer Pyle of Bryant; three granddaughters and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Hardy & Hardy funeral home in Geneva, the Rev. A. B. McKain officiating. Burial will be in Gravel Hill cemetery, west of Bryant. Girard Weds Jap Sweetheart Friday TOKYO (UP) — U. S. Army Sp cialist 3C William S. Girard will marry his Japanese sweetheart Friday in the Army chapel at Camp Whittington 40 miles from Tokyo, it was announced today. Maj. Stanley F. Levin, Girard’s legal adviser, said the 21-year-old Ottawa, 111., soldier is “just as nervous as most guys a short time before his marriage.” Girard's girl friend is Haru (Candy) Sueyama, 27.

Graduates and former students of Butler will vote by mail during July, with the winner to serve a three-year term on the executive committee, starting in October. Either Neuenschwander or Dold will represent the Wells-Adams-Blackford-Jay counties district.
