Mr. and Mrs. Bob Krick, and their grandson David Wearly, of Angola, have returned after spending the past five weeks at the Krick summer home at Nestor Falls. Ontario, Canada. On their way home, they visited with their son, John Krick, and his family, at Minneapolis, Minn. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Braden and family are visiting Braden’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Braden, at Nestor Falls. Ontario, Canada. Albert Schieman. former Decatur banker, was a business visitor here today. ♦ Mrs. Josephine Rodd-and Mrs. Cecilia Volmer, of 'Toledo, Ohio, are visiting with Mrs. C. J. Voglewade, of 509 West Monroe street Mrs. A. R. Holthouse is visiting with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry O’Dowd, of Fort Wayne. Mrs. O’Dowd recently gave birth to a daughter, named Amy. The O’Dowds also have a son, Tommy. Arthur B. Kleinhenz. long time employe of Holthouse Drug store, is reported to be improving at St. Joseph's hospital in Fort Wayne, where he is in room 379. Mrs. Ed Bosse left for Cleveland Heights today, where she will visit with her son Tom. whose wife gave birth to a son Tuesday. The family will return to Decatur in the near future. Master Erich Overmeyer has returned to his home in Silver Springs, Md.. via T.W.A. He has been visiting Mr. and Mrs. Jack Holthouse and daughter Marilou for the past several weeks. On vacation at the Americana Hotel in Bal Harbour, Miami Beach, Fla., are Mr. and Mrs. C. Doyle Collier, and their three children, Cynthia, David, and Richard. The Colliers are in Miami Beach in conjunction with the annual convention of the Columbus Mutual Life Insurance company, with which Collier is an agent. After visiting this week with Mrs. Frank Liniger, the major’s mother, and Mrs. Max Ellen Wagner, his sister, Major and Mrs. Vaun Liniger and family, are returning home to Riverside, Calif., where Major Liniger will begin duties July 23 at March Field. He was formerly stationed at Marshall Field, Montgomery, Ala., with the command and study school. On their 15-day trip home, the Linigers will stop at Warren, to visit Mrs. Liniger’s sister, Mrs. Neal Webster. Continuing their journey, they will also see the Badlands, Yellowstone park, and Grand Canyon. Mrs. Wallace Liniger and Betsy, Vicki, aqd Benny, are traveling to Bfflttitnore, Md., where they will join Mr. Liniger, at their future home. Liniger has- been in Baltimore for several weeks attending training school prior to beginning work on reviewing claims for the disabled in the health, education and welfare department’s social security division. Mrs. Liniger and her family are being accompanied by her niece. Miss Gretchen Lankenau, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Lankenau. Attorney D. Blue Flame Earnings, Dividends Increased Roger Isch, president of the Blue Flame Gas Corporation of Bluffton, which has an office in this city, announced that the consolidated earnings of the company for the first quarter of 1957, before federal income taxes, was 857,964.18. Sales for the period had exceeded sales for the same quarter in 1956 by 100 per cent. Isch also announced that an increase in the semi-annual dividend on common and class A common stock had been voted by the board of directors, payable June 25. in the amount of six cents per share. This represented a 100 per cent increase over thq dividend for the last half of 1956, which had beea three cents per share. He indicated that at the present rate of sales the total gross sales for the year should exceed 81.000,000. He pointed out that the company is in the midst of an expansion program which will bring Blue Flame Gas bulk plants in the state of Ohio. Howard, office manager, stated today. Eligible wheat producers should call at the county office in person, or write and request that a card be mailed. Cards will be issued only to the eligible producer or his authorized representative, who has a copy of authorization on file in the county office.
