flowers gracing the dining hall of the church. Preceding the meal, all joined in singing the Doxology. Serving was Mrs. Faye Ahr, assisted by the members of the Pythian Sisters. After the . dinner, . Mrs. John Bauman gave the welcome, and the guests assembled in the main auditorium for the evening’s program. Awards were presented to the youngest mother present, Mrs. Robert Luginbill, and Mrs. Mahlon Brown, the mother of the most children. Mrs. Warren Lehman was mistress of ceremonies for a "This Is Your Life Program.” honoring Mrs. Hila Murray. Escorted from the audience to her seat of hopor, she saw open before her her “Book of Life,” from which deeds and events of her life were revealed. In tribute, the mistress of ceremonies commented, “Her many years have proved a blessing to us.” Joining Mrs. 1 Murray on the platform were her son, Forrest Murray, her two daughters, Mrs. J. K. Eady (Romaine! and Mrs. C. C. Lynn (Agnes) and also two “faithful friends,” Mrs. C. E. Peterson and Mrs. Emma Staley. The honored guest's great-grand-son, Steve Eady, presented her a gift. Following these ceremonies, the Misses Cecilia and Cynthia Lehman sang a duet, “M-O-T-H-E-R.” Throughout the entire program, soft organ music was played by Mrs. Stuart Brightwell. At the close of the evening, the guests present extended best wishes to Mrs. Murray and autographed a page of her “Book of Life.” EVERREADY SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS PLANS JULY PICNIC . June meeting for the Everready Sunday School class of the Methodist church was held in the church lounge recently, with Mrs. Dovie Bedwell, president, presiding, hnd Mrs. Lloyd Ruse, program chairman. Singing hymns, and prayer, opened the meeting, with Mrs. Albert Lahning giving meditation on "Pentecost” and ‘The World Council of Churches.” During the business meeting, the Class voted to hold a picnic supper July 11 at the home of Mrs. Gail Baughman. WORK AND WIN CLASS MEETS AT HUBERT GILPIN HOME Work and Win Class of Trinity Evangelical United Brethren church met Friday evening at the home of Mr. -and Mrs. Hubert Gilpin. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Poling were the assistant host and hostess. Vice president Frank Baker had charge of the business. Scripture was read by Mrs. Frank Fisher, who used Matthew, chapter 17. Roll call found sixteen members and one visitor present. Prayers were offered by Mrs. Fannie Hitchcock and Mrs. Harry Brown. Mrs. Nellie Grummen was in charge of the program. Refreshments were served by the hosts and hostesses. The July meeting will be a picnic at HannaNuttman park.

Salem Methodist W9CS will meet at the home of Mrs. Merle Riley Wednesday at 7:30 o,ni. All ladies of the church are invited to attend. First District meeting of the Past President's Parley of the American Legion will be held in Garrett Wednesday. There will be a potluck dinner at noon, followed by business meeting. Each member is to bring her own tablfe service. Mrs. Herman Krueckeberg will b® hostess to the Zion Lutheran Missionary Society Wednesday at 12 noon. Everyone is to bring a covered dish and her own table service. On the program committee are the Mesdames Norman Kruse, Edgar Schmidt, and Charles Stucky. Last meeting of the fiscal year for the DAV Auxiliary will be held Thursday evening at 7:30 o’clock at the DAV Hall. All members are urged to be present. Missionary Society of the First Baptist church will convene at the church Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Miss Jessie Winnes will have devotions, and Mrs. Lewis Stanley is lesson leader. Girls Guild of the First Baptist church will meet at the same time Thursday as the Missionary Society. Miss Cynthia Lehman will be in charge of the lesson. C„ where they will spend the next two weeks visiting with Kathy's uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Cash Keller. Parents of the two young ladies, who graduated from eighth grade of Decatur Catholic school last Friday evening, are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Holthouse and Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Hain. Mrs. C. H. Adair, of Crawfordsville, is spending several days visiting with her daughter, Mrs. Robert Holthouse and family.

At the Adams county memorial hospital: Saturday, Norman and Lola Egemo Kruse, 416 South First, Decatur, became the parents of a daughter weighing seven , pounds, .one-half ounce, at 10:45 a.m. Harley and Irene Ross Tumbleson, Geneva, became the parents of a daughter at 1:05 p.m. Sunday. She weighed six pounds, two ounces. V Winamac Man Killed In Fall At Plant GARY (UP)-Albert J. Stoll, 43, Winamac, father of 11 children ranging in age from 9 months to 18 years, was killed during the weekend while at work at an auto parts stamping firm here. His skull was fractured in a fall.
