Miss Marlene Annette Aumann became the bride of Otto F. Fuhrman, Jr., Saturday at 6:30 o'clock f in the St. John’s Lutheran church. The bride .is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Aumann, route one, and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Fuhrman, Sr., Ossian.

are the bridegroom's parents. Officiating at the double ring ceremony was the Rev. Edwin A. Jacob. W. E. Uffelman, organist, and Karl Reinking, soloist, presented for their part of the ; musicale, “The Wedding Prayer,” and “O Perfect L<ve.” St. John’s Lutheran church choir sang "The Lord’s Prayer” and “The Twen-ty-Third Psalm." Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in a gown of embroidered tulle over satin. A Sabrina neckline outlined in embroidered tulle appliques, a midriff or pleated taffeta, and short sleeves detailed with match-

ing applique fashioned the bodice of the gown. Ending in a court train, the very bouffant skirt was made of embroidered tulle over ruffled tulle and satin. The bride carried a cascade bouquet of white butterfly rosps; a headpiece of Alencon lace and pearls held her fingertip-length veil of illusion. In a ballerina length dress of' heavenly blue lace and taffeta, Miss Eloise Aumann, route one, served as maid of honor. A pleated taffeta midriff styled the bodice of the gown, and an iridescent blue straw band holding a short face veil completed the honor attendant’s ensemblte. A white satin and late fan with clusters of white garzia daisies and blue cornflowers completed her attire. Mrs. Al Horman, Osian; Mrs. Don Hoffman, Hoagland; Mrs. Dave Williams, Fort Wayne; and Miss Genny Reiter, Fort Wayne, were the bridesmaids. Miss Linda Sauer and Miss Annette Hoffman, Hoagland, nieces of the bride, served in the wedding party as flower girls. Bridesmaids and flower girls alike wore dresses styled identically to that of the maid of honor. Bill Berning, of Rockaway Beach, served as best man, and Jim Fuhrman, Ossian; Fred Aumann, brother of the bride; Don Roemke, Fort Wayne; and Ralph Bleeke, Fort Wayne, were ushers. Corsages of cymbidium orchids completed the ensembles of the bride’s and the bridegroom’s mothers. Mrs. Aumann chose a Dior blue lace dress with navy accessories, and for her son’s wedding, Mrs. Fuhrman wore a beige lace dress with brown accessories. Following die ceremony, guests were received at the home of the bride’s parents. A five-tier wedding cake centered the serving table, which was decorated with white moline fans with ice blue satin ribbons and foliage. For traveling south, the bride chose a beige embroidered silk dress with brown accessories. Mrs. Fuhrman is a graduate of Monmouth high school and is employed by the offices of the Main Auto sport shop in Fort Wayne. A Concordia high school graduate, Fuhrman is employed by the Addressograph sales agency in Fort ■ Wayne. After June 15 the newlyweds will make their home near Decatur, on route one. MISS MARILYN JABERG FETED WITH SHOWER Saturday a personal shower at the home of Miss Gaynel Lankenau honored Miss Marilyn Jaberg, bride-elect of Thonrias Drew. Miss Lankenau and Miss Sharon Kimble were hostesses to the shower. Pink and white flowers carried out the decorating scheme, with the focal point of decorations a pink and white umbrella centerpiece. • After games were played. WOMEN OF MOOSE PLAN SUPPER LATER IN JUNE At their regular monthly meeting for May, the Academy of Friendship of the Women of the Moose announced plans for a supper to be held later in June. Anyone wishing to attend the supper is to call the chairman. HARRY DAILEY’S PIANO PUPILS GIVE RECITAL Mrs. Harry Dailey’s piano pupils presented a recital Saturday after*, noon at 3:30 at the Methodist chuYch. Pupils on the program were Ellen Houk. Carol Hoverman, Simmie Hain, Jr., Maryann Zwick, Michael Forst, Cynthia Collier, Ann AUwein, and Eleanor Miller. After the recital, the pupils and their guests went to a picnic in the yard of Mrs. Dailey’s home. Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m., the Catholic Ladies of Columbia will hold a business meeting at the C. L. of C. Hall. Eagles’ Auxiliary will hold an officers meeting at the Eagles’ hall atf 8 o’clock Tuesday evening. Miss Esther Meyer will be hostess to the Sancta Maria study club Wednesday at 8 o’clock. Our Lady of Good Counsel sttidy club will meet at the home of Mrs. James Murphy, Jr., Wednesday evening at 8 o’clock. At 1 p.m. at the Parish Hall, the Zion Lutheran Needle club will meet Thursday afternoon. ■ Couples of the Wesley Sunday school class and families of the Methodist church will have a hobo picnic Thursday evening at 6 o’clock at Hanna-Nuttman park. Those attending are to bring a covered dish and table service. Thursday evening at 7:30 o’clock, the Ladies Aid of Trinity church will meet at the church. Hostesses for the evening will be Mrs. Dave Wynn, Mrs. Ralph Stevens, and Mrs. Jess Williams. Unit Three of Bethany Evangelical and United Brethren church will convene at the home of Mrs, Arthur Baker Thursday at 2 o’clock instead of 7:30. So-Cha-Rea will meet with Mrs. Dee Fryback Thursday, June 13, instead of June 6, as had been previously scheduled. Salem Methodist church will have a fellowship supper in the church basement Friday evening at 6:30 o'clock.' Dr. Bryon Stroh and his family will be there. Dr. Stroh is the superintendent for the Fort Wayne district. Mariann Selking Is Bride Saturday Os Kenneth Koeneman St. Paul’s Lutheran church, Preble, was the scene of the Saturday evening marriage of Miss Mariann Selking to Kenneth E. Koeneman, performed by the Rev. 0. C. Busse at 6:30 o’clock. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. William A. Selking. route 2, Decatur, and Mr. and Mrs. Edgar W. Koeneman, 6857 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, are the parents of the bridegroom. Palms, beauty and altar vases of yellow gladiolus and green carnations. and candelabra holding yellow candles, and decorated with green ribbons graced the church: yellow candles and green ribbon also marked the. pews. F. C. Schmiege, organist, Peggy Burchardt, vocalist, and the St. Peter's Lutheran church choir, directed by Arthur Werling, presented nuptial : Given in marriage by her father. 1 the bride appeared in a gown of chantilly lace and nylon ever satin. The sculptured bodice was ’ detailed with short sleeves and a : scalloped scoop necklin of braid > trimmed tulle. An elaborate lace • motif was appliqued to the bouffant, floor length skirt. A single • strand of pearls and matching earrings, a gift from the groom, were the bride's jewelry. Caught to a pearl-edged lace clbche was her fingertip veil of imported illusion. The white orchid in her bouquet was surrounded with a cascade of Fleur de’ Amour. Attending her sister as maid of honor. Miss Virgene Selking wore a taffeta princess gown in nile green. The Misses Dorothy Selking, sister of the bride, and Alice Witte, friend of the bride, served as | bridesmaids; and Miss Alice Jean Koeneman, sister of the bridegroom, was junior bridesmaid. They wore gowns styled identically to the honor attendant’s ensemble, which was fashioned with a cowl neckline filled in with Venice lace and completed with a back bow. The bouffant skirts were ballerina i length. Matching open-crowned headpieces completed their ensembles. and they carried basket arrangements of yellow roses trim-. med with green netting. Miss Marsha Erxleben. cousin of the bride, was flower girl in any-, lon tulle over white taffeta dress | complemented with a matching headpiece. Douglas Armstrong, I cousin of the bridegroom, carried the rings. Best man was Eugene Melcher, cousin of the bridegorom. New Haven; and Roger Selking, Decatur, was junior groomsman. Eugene Ehle, brother-in-law of the bridegroom. New Haven, and Donald Selking, brother of the bride, Decatur, seated the guests.

For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Selking chose a rose lace dress with accessories in black and white, and’ Mrs. Koeneman was attired in an ensemble of rose, nylon over taffeta, accented in white. White orcnld corsages complemented the mothers’ dresses. At Goeglein Kercherval reserve hall, immediately following the cremony, serving at the reception were the Misses Ruth Ann Selking. Diane Erxleben, Gladys Ewell. Bernice Ehlerding, Delores Gallmeyer, Marilyn Kiefer, Kathleen Scheuman, and Rita Scheuman, all of Decatur; the Misses Delores Erxleben, Joycg Bruick, and Harriet Monn and the Mesdames James Hilgeman, Eugene Ehle, Eugene Bruick, and Eugene Melcher, all of Fort Wayne; and the Misses Judy Meyer, Joyce Meyer, and Janice Melcher, all of New Haven. For a week-long wedding trip, north, the bride was attired in a yellow dress with black and wlflte accessories and the orchid corsage from her bouquet. Graduate of Monmouth high school, the, bride is employed by the Lincoln National Life Insur* ance Company, and the bridegroom, who was graduated from the New Haven high school, is employed by Beverly Nursery.
