A formula for allocation of tax receipts upon annexation repeals the old law, and is now effective. The per diem, for certain county officials, including some deputy sheriffs, was extended until December 31, 1957. The county Is required to furnish at least one automobile for the sheriff, and completely maintain it, and such other vehicles as l the county commissioners shall recommend and shall be allowed by the county council for official use only. Uniforms will be provided for the sheriff and each fulltime deputy. Another new law provides an additional $2 a day for two deputy sheriffs for additional official duties imposed by law, and also an additional $2 a day for mileage, in counties of 95,000 population or less. i' Each justice of the peace is required, effective immediately, to account for fees, fines, and costs quarterly on the first Monday of January, April, July, and October. report will be filed in duplicate with the county auditor on forms prescribed by the state board ot accounts. A new law raises marriage license and certificate fees to $5 to be paid info’ the general fund. It is effective January 1, 1958.
