Jack Hurst, local game warden, assisted by Pud Smith of Geneva, released four large containers of the fish. The containers were refrigerated and brought to the county from the Bernice Creek rearing pond in LaGrange county. Seven inches is the legal size for catching rainbow trout: The Huey pond near New Corydon is the only place in the county known to maintain a temperature of 50 degrees throughout the entire sunv mer. Trout will not live in warmer water. The first release of trout here was made years ago, also in the same pit. A very high number of the 240 released is expected to survive. High water has caused the usually clear pond to turn very muddy, but this is not expected to bother the young fish. Trade in a good town — Decatur

Expansion To 92 Sectionals Is Suggested INDIANAPOLIS (UP) — Fort Wayne Central basketball coach Herb Banet has worked out an Indiana high school tourney plan expanding the first-round from 64 to 92 sectionals. He said the plan will be submitted by Paul Spuller, his principal, to the IHSAA Board of Control May 25. Another change would be to lump six teams each into 14 regional, while two other secondround tourneys would have four contenders. There would be no changes in the rpst of the tourney structure. The plan would ‘permit more good teams to participate for a longer period of time,” said Banet. He admitted his plan wasn't perfect, “but the framework is solid.’’ The plan uses a 737-team field as its base. Banet said at least one team will be cut from last year’s total because Union City and Wayne will merge. Banet’s plan calls for 16-team sectionals at Terre HAute, Indianapolis and Fort Wayne—as now. But two sactfonal champions would emerge from those tourneys. His basia plan calls for eight-team sectionals and only one nine-team show at South Bend. Banet said he worked about four hours a day for almost three weeks to complete his job. IHSAA commissioner L.V. Phillips said the basic problem remains—you still have to get down to one champion. “The end result is always the same,” he said. “This plan would give 28 teams one more week to live.” Phillips said the IHSAA is not
against changes, “but we shouldn't change for the sake of making a change.” “From all we know,” said Phillips, "we have the best high school tourney in the country. We've had these suggestions for the last 30 years, and frankly, we would like to forget basketball until ne*t fall.” Legion League Will Bowl Friday Night The American Legion league will bowl at 6:30 o’clock Friday evening at Mies Recreation, following postponement of the annual banquet of the city bowling association until a later date. Monmouth Pony Loop Team Meets Friday The Monmouth Pony league team will hold its first practice of the season Friday evening at
