Social Security Report For March Payments Increase - In Month Os March Over 2800 persons in Northeastern Indiana began receiving monthly old-age and survivors insurance payments during the first quarter of 1957, Christian H. W. Luecke, manager of the Fort Wayne social security office, said today in submitting his report for March. This is in comparison with 1214 new claimants in the first quarter of 1956. The report for March follows: Account number cards issued 940 Assistance to workers, employers and self-employed 57 New disability claims cleared 72 New OASI claims cleared 1333 Beneficiaries served 1298 General inquiries served 1840 The Fort Wayne office is located at 717 Fulton St. and maintains parttime offices in Angola, Auburn, Berne, Bluffton, Columbia City, Decatur, Huntington, Kendallville, and Ligonier.
