Joyce E. Lehman ..... Wed Saturday To Edward L. Fox The marriage or Miss Joyce E. Lehman to Edward L. Fox was solemnized in the First Mennonite church in Berne, Saturday evening at 7 o’clock. The Rev. Olin A. Krehbiel, assisted by the Rev. Gordon Neuenschwander, performed the double ring ceremony, following a musicale by Mrs. Sherman Stucky. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Harry W. Lehman and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Fox, all of Berne. Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in a gown of chantilly lace and nylon tulle. The fitted bodice was designed with dainty etching of irdescent sequins and seed pearls around the scalloped neckline. Her very bouffant tier'ed skirt cascaded to form a chapel length train, and she wore a small lace hat studded with sequins and seed pearls. She carried a white orchid, from which fell tiny white streamers. tied in bridal knots. Miss Ruth Ann Liechty was and Miss Carol Fox, (sister of the bridegroom, was bridesmaid. Junior brides * maid was Miss Karen Rich, cousin of the bride. They were all attired in ballerina length gowns of blue cloud taffeta and net, accented with wide cummerbunds and sashes of princess blue taffeta. The .bodices of the gowns featured a roll collar, which was high in front and low in back. Headbands to match their gowns completed their ensembles, and they carried arrangements of deep swwetheart roses. Best man was Byron Fox, brother of the bridegroom, and grooms-

The couple was hohored at a reception, held immediately following the ceremony, in the church basement. Approximately 250 guests were served by the Misses Alice Habegger. Dene Wagoner, Jane Clauser, Marilyn Habegger, Marietta Lehman, and Mrs. Edward Smith. Upon their return from a honeymoon of unannounced destination, Mr. and Mrs. Smith will reside at 4664 Baltimore street, Berne. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Shroyer, of 1134 West Monroe street, had as their Easter dinner guests. Mr. and Mrs. J. Clark Mayclin and children Susan, Melissa, Peter and Timothy, and Edgar Mutschler. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Shoaf of Pleasant Mills, have returned home after spending the winter months visiting with their son, Lauren Shoaf, and his family at St. Petersburg, Fla.-On their return trip, they visited for a week with their son4n-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hammond, of Chattanooga, Tenn. Miss Marcia Ruddick, art instructor in the Auburn public schools, visited over the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Sam Gilbert and son Steven. Decatur visitors Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. H.- F. Kitson, and Mr. and Mrs. William Litchsinn and sons Paul and Al. Mrs. Ralph Gentis has returned home after spending several days visiting with her son Robert, and his family, at Wauseon, O. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Alton, of Marion, 0., spent Easter with Mrs. Idabelle Alton. Two boats belonging to Geneva persons were turned loose on the Wabash river last week during high water. One boat, belonging to Gay Morgan, was found drifting last Thursday after having been reported missing. The other, belonging to Roger Coon, has not been found. The state fish hatchery is planning to stock the New Corydon gravel pit with trout. Willis Armantrout, 65, formerly of Geneva, died suddenly April 7, at the home of his sister, Mrs. Mina Armantrout Derrough, of George West. Texas. INTERIOR DECORATOR TO ADDRESS WOMAN’S CLUB , Mrs. Leo Curtin, chairman of the Woman's club progrum to be presented tonight, has announced that Mrs. Hazel McCormick (Mary Hall>, professional interior decorator associated with the Wolf and Dessauer decorating studio, will be the guest speaker. Committee members assisting Mrs. Curtin are Miss Glennys Roop and Miss Bernice Nelson. The meeting, to take place at the Youth and Community center, is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. EASTER DINNER ALSO HONORS BIRTHDAY An Easter family dinner, held Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Myron Hart, was also in observance of the birthday anniversary of Clinton Hart. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Hart recently returned home after spending the winter months vacationing in Florida. Attending the dinner were Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Hart and Bonnie and Nancy, and Mr. and Mrs. Francis Tester and children Larry, Leßoy, Donna, Floyd and Terry, of New Haven; Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Hart, the host and hostess, and their children, Norman, Bobbie and Carolyn. MRS. DAVID SOVINE IS HOSTESS TO SOCIETY Mrs. David Sovine was recently hostess for a meeting of the Pleasant Mills Women’s Society of Christian Service. The meeting was conducted by the president, Mrs. Clyde Jones, after which Mrs. Donald Everett offered devotions, and the lesson on home missions in the national news was given by Mrs. Lawrence Ehrsam and Mrs. Wayne Clouse. Prayer was offered by Mrs. Jones, followed by the group singing “America the Beautiful.” A special reading, "Slowing Down for the Lord’s Prayer,” was given by Mrs. Ehrsam, followed by the repeating of the prayer for the close of the business session. * Refreshments were served to 10 members and two children, by Mrs. Luther Sovine, Mrs. Glenn Mann and Mrs. Effie Jones. DeMotte Man Is Held On Slaying Charge RENSSEALAR, Lnd. — HP) — Authorities, today held Ollie Bailey 42, DeMotte, in connection with the slaying of Ray Franklin Sheets, 31, Hebron. State police blamed the Saturday slaying on a beer party argument. Bailey’s son, Fred, 18, told authorities Sheets threw a beer can at his father. Then Bailey fired a pistol shot at Sheets, the son told police. Wabash Congressman Reported Improving WASHINGTON — (IP) Rep. John V. Beamer of Wabash, Ind., was reported in “satisfactory” condition in a hospital in North Carolina today after suffering a heart seizure. Beamer’s associates said he has been in Chatham Memorial Hospital at Elkin, N. C., since Friday. He suffered a relaspe Sunday night and was believed in critical condition for a time but rallied quickly.

Four-Year-Old Boy ’ Is Killed By Jeep MIAMISBURG, Ohio — OhJohnnie Reeve, 4, was killed Sunday when a jeep driven by a 17-year-old boy sitting backwards on the hood pinned her to a tree. The victim’s sister, Judith. «, who also was sitting under the tree, received minor injuries. The accident occurred when Bill Penrod, the driver, and three other high school boys tried to impress girls at a swimming pool.
