ident Truman, tanned and full of vigor after a two-week Florida vacation, leaves today in his private railroad car for Independence, Mo.
Mr. Truman ended his holiday by collecting $40,000 at a SSO-a---plate lunch here Monday for the Truman Memorial Library in his home town.

Annual Meeting Is Held By Methodists Fourth Quarterly Conference Held I The annual fourth quarterly conference and congregational business meeting was held at the First Methodist church Sunday night. Dr. Byron Stjroh, superintendent of the Fort Wayne district, presided and conducted the business session. Reports of officers and committees were received and were approved. The pastor, the Rev. Virgil Wesley Sexton, was unanimously invited to return to Decatur for another year. Th? pastor presented a printed resume of the church activities for the past year. Highlighting the work of each department, he reported that the commission on membership and evangelism had been in contact with every member of the church. Inactive members have been urged to become active in their own church or in some other church of their choice. Efforts are being made to better organize visitation teams to make regular calls in the homes of prospective members, sick and shutins. The commission on 'missions reported that the total given to missionary causes during the year has exceeded $3,50Q. They also announced a program of cultivation designed to raise the level of support to the missionaries of the local church, the Rev. and Mrs. E. E. LeMasters of Angola, Africa, and to other special missionary projects. The commission on worship reported all departments of their responsibility functioning well. Highly complimented were the usher teams, under the supervision of Sylvester Everhart, the music department, the communion stewards and the chairman of the committee on altar flowers. The commission on education reported that the church school is showing an increase in attendance from one. year ago. All classes have a teacher and an assistant teacher and are provided with all necessary supplies. A series of workers training conferences was announced for next fall. The commission on finance reported alk bills paid to date and announced a forthcoming every member canvas. Each member will be visited in his home in order to adequately explain to him the financial program proposed for the new year. It was reported that the new Methodist magazine. School Bus, Auto Collide Here Today A wreck involving a school bus and an automobile caused damage totalling $475 at noon today. The bus had only two or three children passengers at the time of the accident, and no one was injured. The bus was proceeding north on Fifth street at 12:05, and stopped at the Jefferson street intersection. As the driver, Mrs. Miriam E. Gay, started forward, the bus was struck by a car driving west on Jefferson street. The front end of the car, driven by Robert L. Miller, of 104 N. Ninth street, was badly damaged. The bus veered to the left, and went up in a yard between a street light and fire hydrant. The front right fender, and headlight were damaged, but the bus was driven away. City police investigating the accident arrested Mrs. Gay and charged her with failure to yield the right of way.
