The members attended the senate and house of representatives sessions as weU as toured the state eapitalbuilding, including the governor’s office. The afternoon was spent visiting the State Farm Bureau building. While there, the group visited the state rural youth office, and also visited with Hassil Schneck, president of the Indiana Farm Bureau. John Marks, state rural youth consultant, conducted the tour throughout the building. The remainder of the afternoon was spent sightseeing in Indianapolis. Members making the trip were: Jim Schmiege, Nancy Shoaf, Barbara Lewton, Juanita Hoffman, Sally McCullough Gloria Koeneman, and Leo N. 4-H Adult Leaders vr Hold First Meeting The first meeting of the Adams county 4-H adult leaders was held last Week at the Farm Bureau CoOp building in Monroe, reports Leo N. Seltenright, county agent. For-ty-four leaders were present. Officers elected tor 1957 and twoyear terms were: Harold Schwartz, re-elected co-chairman; Mrs. Don Smith, vice co-ehairman; Everett Singleton, co-secretary; and Mrs. Leonard Wagley, co-secretary. Officers elected last year for two years were Mrs. Stanley Arnold, co-chairman; and Wilbur Kirchhofer, co-vice chairman. The treasurer for the 4-H council and the extension committee is Harold Moser. The officers of the 4-H leaders as well as representatives from the 4-H junior leaders and the county extension committee serve as the 4-H council. The deadline tor 4-H enrollment was set at April 1. During the meeting, each of the 4-H leaders received a packet of 4-H material made up by the county extension office This was discussed and suggoirtions made on enrollment and other 4-H activities. The major part of 4-H enrollment will be taken’during national 4-H week, which is March 2-9.
