Peace Justice Hugh Duval Jr. set bond at $5,000 for Ralph Evans, ' driver of the car, who is being ’ held in the Dade County jail. A police officer said he inspected the ; car after it was pulled out of the I canal and found that the brake > pedal went down to the floor. Sgt. W.J. Geronimo, head of the suburban Hialeah Gardens police, said he had ordered Evans two weeks ago to take his car off the highways. Evans and a friend, Edwin McDonough, 58, were' the ’ only two to escape. U.S. Reds To Remain ’ A Political Party . - NEW YORK (W — The U.
