First Lady Selects Inaugural Wardrobe Details Best Kept Secret In New York NEW YORK (UP)-Mrs. Dwight D. Eisenhower has selected much of her wardrobe for the inaugural festivities later this month. But the details are the best kept secret on Seventh Avenue. Mollie Parnis, the First Lady’s favorite designer of daytime and informal dress-up clothes, revealed that she consulted with Mrs. Eisenhower this week and is making “some of the things she will wear during inaugural festivities.” Milliner Sally Victor, who makes most of Mrs. Eisenhower’s hats, also was a Washington visitor. But both designers are pledged not to discuss any selections made by the First Lady. Best bet in the nation's garment center is that Nettie Rosenstein again, as in 1952, will design Mrs. Eisenhower's inaugural ball gown. Designer Parnis included several dresses of the "type Mrs. Eisenhower likes” in her spring show Thursday for 200 reporters in town for the semi-annual Fashion Press Week. But since she couldn't be specific, it left 200 reporters guessing which types the First Lady may have, rhoawiIt is known that Mrs. Elsenhower likes full skirts, and there were several in the Parnis collection. Most of them were cocktaillength floral prints, with low but not daring necklines, or "de luxe shirtwaist’' dresses, which are the 4esigner’s*sj*»w *' ‘,r~ en everywhere. She. showed t»m in solid color silk taffetas and soft silk prints. Miss Madge Hite Was accompanied to Lima, 0., today by her sister, Miss Fan Hite, and her niece< Mrs. Virginia Hite Thomas, both of Louisville, Ky. Mrs. Alexander is the daughter of Mrs. Albert Colchln of Decatur. John Liby, of Decatur, is a new employe of the Farmers & Merchants bank in Bluffton. Anderson Man Killed When Auto Overturns NOBLESVILLE. Ind. OB - Henry B. Cook, 30, Anderson, was killed Thursday night when an automobile in which he rode skidded on an icy curve of Ind. 32. James E. Downing, 35, Anderson, driver of the car, was treated for minor injuries after the accident a half mile west of the Madison-Hamilton county line. The car hit a slippery spot, skidded off the road, knocked down seven guard posts and rolled end over end, police reported. Pony Backs BUFFALO, N.
