Teresa J. Vodde Wed Thursday To Daniel Lengerich St. John the Baptist Catholic church in New Haven was the scene wJ Thursday morning marriage of Miss Teresa Janice Vodde and Daniel. Leo i The Rev. Thomas Doriot performed the rites that morning at. 10 o’clock, before an altar adorned with beauty vases of pink carnations and white snap-dragons. The bride is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo B. Vodde of 726 Mtncoin Highway, New Haven, and Mr. and Mrs. Herman 'A. Lengerich of route s,.Decatur, are the parents of the bridegroom. Wedding music was presented by Sr. M. Louise, C.S.A., and the children's choir. Given in mariage by her father, the bride was attired in a floor length gown of chantilly lace over bridal satin and nylon tulle. The snugly fitted bodice was designed with pleated tulle and scalloped lace. Her long tapered sleeves were of the lace and formed points over her wrists. The very bouffant skirt was styled with sun burst pleating, with a lace panel in the front and back, where it ended in a court train of the chantilly lace and tulle. She wore a Juliet cap of lace and pleated tulle, detailed with imported sequins, from which fefi her fingertip veil of silk Illusion. Her bouquet consisted of red roses, surrounded by white Wiles of the valley, and centered with a white orchid. ♦ The maid-of-honor, Miss Rosanne Vodde, sister of the bride, wore

Dan Krauter, Mrs. Eugene Ehle, Mrs. Vernon Frisby and Miss Shirley Severence, all of New Haven; Mrs. Richard Blum, Miss Shelly Parsons and Miss Dorothy Vodde, all' of Fort Wayne. UNION CHAPEL LADIES AID MEET FOR DAY OF QUILTING The Union Chapel Evangelical United Brethren Ladies Aid met recently at the church for all day meeting. A carry in dinner was served at the noon hour, to the ten members in attendance. Group singing opened the business portion of .the day, and the scripture lesson, taken from Psalm 116, was read by Mrs. C. G. Brown. Mrs. Harvey Koos, president, presided over the business transactions. . u . .Roll was , called and dues Wte paid, after which Mrs. Charles Burrell led in prayer. The remainder of the day was spent in sewing and quilting. Closing prayer was offered by Mrs. Ammi Miller. The W.M.S. of the Pleasant Mills Baptist church will meet Wednesday evening at 7 o’clock, at the home of Mrs. Jim Halberstadt, Sr. Members are reminded to bring old muslin. A meeting of the fourth district of the American Legion auxiliary* will be held at the Legion Post home in Fort Wayne, next Wednesday morning, beginning at 10 o’clock. ZION EA R WOMEN’B . GUILD HAS MEETING The Women’s Guild of the Zion Evangelical ’ United Brethren church held their monthly meeting recently in the church social rooms, with forty members present. The program, planned by Mrs. George Buckley, introduced the theme “Why Are We Here?’’ She was assisted by several of the la•dies of the group. , ; .7 Mrs. Joseph Hazelwood presided over the business meeting. Other officers for the year are vice-president, Mrs. Robert Houk; secretary, Mrs. -Robert August; and treasurer, Mrs. Leo Kirsch. Departmental chairmen are as follows: education, Mrs Adolph We idler; missionary, Mrs. Lawrence Rash; Christian service, Mrs. Richard Schafer and Mrs. Clarence Snyder; social action, Mrs. Floyd Hunter; spiritual life, Mrs. Wesley Lehman; stewardship, Mrs. George Buckley; cards and flowers. Mrs. Charles Meyers; and pianist, Mrs. Robert Houk. Monmouth To Display Winning Photographs Award-winning * photographs from the 1958 Scholastic- Ansco photography awards will be on exhibit from Jan. 7 to Jan. 13. at the Monmouth high school. . Winners were selected from over 30,000 entries submitted by junior and senior high school students throughout the country. From the 90 national award-win-ners, 27 were selected for a traveling exhibition, the Scholastic-An-sco traveling salon, on view each day from 9 a.m. to 3. p.m. These traveling salons are being exhibited in hundreds of junior and senior high schools throughout the country from October, 1958 through May, 1987. He served for two years as a commissioned officer in the.army portation corps in Va., and in Korea. At the Adams county memorial hospital: Ernest B. and Barbara K. Schwartz Schwartz of Berne, are parents of a seven pound, nine ounce son, born Thursday at 9:17 p. m. A somwas born- this morning at 10:50 o’clock, to Carl and Delores Lengerich Mankey of Crpigville. He weighed eight pounds and three dunces. William Kipfer, of Bluffton route 4, has been admitted to the Bluffton Clinic hospital following a fall at his home. Judge and Mrs. Homer J. Byrd, of Bluffton, have returned from Lake Charles, La., where they visisted with a son-in-law and daughter, Dr. and Mrs. Carl Shrader. Daniel F. Albright, 82, a Rome City resident for more than 30. years, was found dead in his Rome City home Thursday. He was wellknown to cottagers at the lake there. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Conn and son Michael Allen have returned to Bloomington, after spending the holiday vacation with Mrs. Conn's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Shoaf of route 6. Conn is a senior at Indiana University, where he is majoring in business and education. Mrs. John Mishler, of Decatur route 2, underwent major surgery Wednesday at the Wells county hospital.
