Miss Jane Elizabeth Ross, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ross of route 5, Decatur. The bridegroom is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Suman of route 6, Decatur. The couple was married in a double-ring ceremony performed Friday evening, November 23, at 7:30 o’clock, in the United Brethren church in Bobo. Officiating was the Rev. Carlyle Seiple. Mrs. Merman Lamkin attended her sister as matron-of-honor, and Robert Burkhart was best man. Guests were seated.by Merman Lamkin and Floyd Suman. WOMEN’S GUILD HAS CHRISTMAS PROGRAM The Christmas program of the Woman’s Guild Os the Ziotj Evangelical and Reformat church was held last Wednesday evening in the church sanctuary. Mrs. Robert Houk, program, chairman, used the topic “A Christian k Committeed to the Prince of Peace.” prelude was played by Mrs. Fred Fruchte. Scripture was read by Mrs. Robert August, and soloists for the program were Mrs. Eugene Morrison and Mrs. William Feller. Mrs. Joseph Hazlewood was narrator, and other members participating in the program were Mrs Wesley Lehman, Mrs. Robert Lord, Mrs. Floyd Hunter, Mrs. Adolph Weidler, Mrs. George Buckley, Mrs. George Thomas, Mrs. Lawrence Rash, and Mrs. Schafer. Prayer was offered by Mrs. Houk, and the closing hymn, ”Joy to the World,” was sung by the entire group. Mrs. James Borders presided over the business meeting which followed. A committee was appointed to remember the sick and shut-ins. The gfoup voted to contribute to the children’s home in Fort Wayne, the home for the aged at Upper Sandusky, 0., the Winnebago Indians in Neilsville, Wis., and the Biloxi Mission. The meeting closed with prayer, followed by the Mizpah benediction. Refreshments were served from tables attractively decorated for the Christmas season. Branched candelabra holding lighted tapers highlighted the decorations. Hostesses for the evening were Mrs. Wesley Lehman, Mrs. Ann Lehman, Mrs. S. E. Leonardson, Mrs. Richard Linn, Mrs. Ferd Litterer, Mrs. Robert Lord, Mrs. Solomon Lord and Mrs. Carl Lose. QUARTERLY MEETING HELD BY MISSIONARY GROUP The Women’s Missionary association of the Pleasant Grove United Brethren church held their regular meeting Thursday at the home of Mrs. Ermil Shifferly. Following the dinner, Mrs. Clyde , Harden, program chairman, arranged an interesting program using the topic "The Gift of God.” Special readings apropriate for the occasion were given by Mrs. Carlyle Seiple and Mrs. Wilmer Grote. After the business session, a gift exchange was held. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Clyde Harden in January. The American Legion auxiliary ChrisUnag party will be held Tuesday evening, with a pot luck supper to be served at 6:30 o’clock. Members are to bring a covered dish and their own table service. Later there will be a program of entertainment, and a • 50-cent gift exchange. Members and guests of the Zion Lutheran Missionary society are invited to attend a Christmas musicale, Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock, at the home of Mrs. Louijs Jacobs. A program of organ music and reading has been arranged, and a 50-cent gift exchange will be held. All members of the Zion Lutheran congregation are welcome to attend. The Rose Garden club's Christmas dinner will be held Tuesday noon at 12:30 o’clock at the Moose home. A 50-cent gift exchange will be held. The Little Flower study club will have a Christmas exchange at the home of Mrs. Mary Sorg, Wednesday evening at 7:30 o’clock. ♦ ■ The Union township Farm Bureau Christmas party will be held at the Immanuel Lutheran school next Friday evening, at 8 o’clock. Her fiance is the son of Mrs. Ronald Grote of route 5, Decatur, and the late Ronald Grote. Miss Shott attended Decatur high school. A graduate of Decatur high school with the class of 1955, Grote is employed as a toolmaker at International Harvester Co. in Fort Wayne. No definite wedding date has been set by the couple.

Four Are Arrested After Two Wrecks One Man Injured In WreckJriday Night Four motorists were arrested as the result of two property damage accidents in Adams county Friday night. , One accident resulted in a personal injury. Charles Boring. 75, of Willshire, O.; route 1, was taken to the Adams county memorial hospital suffering lacerations and possible internal injuries following an ac- ' cident at 5:40 p. m. on U. S. highway 33 in Pleasant Mills. Boring was in the process of completing a U-turn when he was struck by a car driven by Chester - R. Deaton, 41, of West Liberty, ’ O. Damage was estimated at S2OO to the Deaton car and $l5O to the Boring vehicle. ~ Sheriff Merle Affolder and state trooper Al Coppess arrested Deaton a charge of speeding and Boring on a charge of failure to yield. I Both were scheduled to appear in 1 J. P. court today but Boring will possibly not be dismissed from ■ the hospital. The other accident occurred at 8 p. m. on the Bellmont road a half mile east of Decatur. Ray--1 mond Mertz, 52, of Decatur route ’ five, attempted a left turn into his driveway and turned in the path of an approaching car driven by John Gephart, 14, of Decatur 1 route five. Mertz was charged with failure to yield the right of way and will appear in J. P. court Dec. 12. Virginia Gephart, 35, of Decatur route five, owner of *the other vehicle involved, was charged with permitting an unlicensed driver to operate‘her car. She will also appear in J. P. court Dec. 12. Buys Health Bond - Help Fight TB Buy Christmas Seals VFW Limberlost Post has voted purchase of a $5 health bond, officials of the Christmas seal sale campaign in Adams county announced today. All proceeds from the annual Christmas seal sale used in the fight on tuberculosis and to provide free clinics and otherwise carry on the fight against the “white plague.” The sale is conducted by the Adams county tuberculosis association.

Billfold Is Token From Purse Fridoy A billfold containing money was taken from a purse owned by Mrs. Flo Brandt, of Monroe route one, Friday night at the Decatur high school gymnasium. •' Mrs. Brandt tola city police that she attended the Commodore-Ad* ams Central game last night and left her purse in the gym after the game. After 20 minutes she returned to the gym and the purse was not under the seat where she had left it. She reported the loss to a school official who said that the purse had been turned in by two boys. She later noticed that the billfold was missing. Police are conduct* ing an investigation.
