She was treated at the Adams county memorial hospital and dismissed today. Girl Scout News . Girl Scout troop 11 met Tuesday afternoon at the Lincoln school. Ann Schurger, president, opened the meeting by leading the troop in saying the Girl Scout promise and laws. We had roll call and collection of dues. We invited our “little sister Brownie troop” over and taught them a new game. We also dramatized two plays for them. We had a treat and dismissed with the Friendship circle. Scribe: Rebecca Rumple Brownie troop 3 met at the Lincoln school after school Wednesday. We opened our meeting with the Brownie promise. We wrapped our Christmas presents. We talked about plans for the Christmas party, which will be held at the next meeting. , Scribe: Cindy Haggerty Brownie troop 10 met at the Northwest school Thursday evening. Our president led us and we said the Brownie promise. We spent the rest of the time making Christmas gifts for our mothers. We closed by singing the Good Night Brownie song. Scribe: Janet Ginter Confesses Series Os Lodge Robberies Escaped Convict Is f Captured At Brazil BRAZIL, Ind. (W — An escaped convict from Michigan state prison. who was arrested hgre late Thursday in connection with a burglary, confessed a series of lodge burglaries in Indiana, Ohio and Illinois. Police said Charles Wolters. 29, Cape Girardeau, Mo., confessed robbing American Legion posts, Elks Clubs and other private clubs in 20 Indiana communities and Illinois and Ohio. Wolters would gain entrance to lodges with real or fake membership cards, pretend to be intoxicated, hide in the club u n t i 1 members went home, then rob it and break out, state police said. However, police chief Joseph Russell of Brazil said Wolters entered the Brazil Elks Club through a window after the place was closed. State police said Wolters’ largest haul was for $3,846 frofn the Legion Post at Bloomington. They said Wolters escaped from Michigan state prison at Jackson March 2. He was serving a 2-5 year term for burglary. Police said Wolters admitted robbing clubs in Brazil, Valparaiso, Goshen. Kendallville, Huntington, Wabash, Frankfort, Kokomo, Marion, Elwood, Lebanon, Crawfordsville, Richmond, Connersville, Shelbyville, Bloomington. Columbus, Seymour, Vincennes and Princeton. Wolter admitted fleeing the Brazil Elks Club when a merchant policeman made a routine check, police said A .briefcase stuffed with money was left behind. He was arrested at a taxi station awaiting a cab to Terre Haute, where he said he had a gun and clothing hidden in a locker.
