It is good to see that more and patrons of MHS are attending these programs. If you did not attend this year, plan to do so next year. You are sure to enjoy yourself. —M.H.S.— In the grade school news catagory, Mrs. Martin’s and Mrs. Harris’ rooms have new easels to use in teaching reading. The students of Monmouth are going to be cheering for the Eagles, because they know they can win. LOOK OUT SPARTANS!!! —M.H.S.— The band has now been measured for their uniforms and are now rive. The people of the community showed what fine citizens they are by “digging down” in their pocket and really helping the band. However, more money will be needed when the uniforms arrive and full payment is due. If you havd not contributed to the fund it is still not too late to do so and have your name placed on the honor roll of donors. Just call the school or a band member and ask to have someone pick up your donation. —M.H.S.— Monmouth’s eighth grade math class took a trip to the First State Bank of Decatur last Wednesday. Earl Caston showed the class members around and described the different duties of the personnel. He explained the various calculating devices, the vaults and safes, and the burglar alarm system.
