Wide Variations In Mercury Predicted Weatherman Gives Five-Day Outlook By UNITED PRESS Temperatures are due to go up and down like a berserk balloon this week in Indiana. The weatherman said in his five day outlook today that there will be “moderately large and frequent temperature fluctuations.” But the average temperature for th£ period Tuesday through Sat- , urday will be “near or slightly above” normal highs Os 50 to 57 and normal lows of 33 to 37. The mercury snot up into the 60s and 70s Sunday as the chilly of last week was disspelled for the ’ benefit of Sunday motorists and others seeking a last outdoors fling before cold weather sets in. Meansville had a high of 74 and it 68 at Indianapolis, 66 at Lafayette, 63 at South Bend and Fort Wayne. Early this morning, lows ranging from 37 at Lafayette to 45 at Evensville were recorded. The •temperature was expected to peak at -Lighs ranging from 52 to 62 today, drop to lows of 28 to 35 tonight, and touch 46 to 55 marks Tuesday. - —t ......
