Temperatures Dip Into Chilly 20s First Freeze Today Os Delayed Autumn By UNITED PRESS Temperatures dipped into the chilly 20s throughout Indiana early today, bringing central and south portions their first freeze of the long-delayed autumn. It was 24 at the low point in Indianapolis, where no temperature as low as 32-freezing had been recorded earlier this season though the normal firstlfreeze date is Oct. 22. Lafayette registered a 22 for the lowest reading among the halfdozen representative cities included in the weather bureau’s daily report. Meanwhile, the five-day outlook for the period through next Wednesday called for temperatures averaging about six degrees below normal. Normal highs are 50 to 58 and normal lows 33 to 37 this time of year. “A little warmer about Sunday or Monday, turning a little colder again about Tuesday or Wednesday,’’ the outlook said. Little or no precipitation was expected. A few traces may be
