Honor Gas Company Veteran Employes Dinner Tonight At Hotel In Fort Wayne More than 200 Northern Indiana Public Service company employes from the Fort Wayne, Monticello, Logansport, Peru, Wabash, and Angola areas—all with 10 or more years of continuous service with the cofripany— will be honored this evening at a dinner given by the utility at the Van Orman Hotel, Fort Wayne. The employes who will be saluted at tonight’s meeting represent a total of 4,785 years of service with the company. Among the guests to be honored at the meeting will be retired NIPSCO employes and men -*nd women who have completed 10 years of continuous service during the past two years. Employes who have completed more than 25 years of continuous service will also be saluted on this occasion. Nineteen NIPSCO employes from all sections of NIPSCO’s territory have attained 25 years of continuous sendee with the company this year. They will receive gold wrist watches from Dean H. Mitchell, NIPSCO president, and become members of the company’s exclusive “Quarter Century Club.’’ With the addition of the new members, the club will reafh a new high of 700 members since its founding in 1947. During the meeting, Mitchell will speak on “Where We’ve Been and Where We’re Going.” In this discussion he will review the early history of NIPSCO, talk about the company’s expansion and modernization program now in progress, and discuss plans for the future. Walter K. Paul, NIPSCO manager of industrial relations, will act as toastmaster. The Fort Wayne meeting tonight is one of five dinner meetings being held in four northern Indiana cities honoring 1,320 NIPSCO employes who have completed 10 or more, years of continuous service with the company. Other meetings will be held at Hammond, South Bend, and Gary. Trash Fire Results In Call To Firemen Decatur firemen were called at about 2 p.m. Tuesday when a trash fire at the rear of 133 Harvester Lane went out of control and ignited a cornfield. Attend Meeting In Huntington County Adams county rural youth members will move the mooing cow to Huntington county Thursday night. Joy Gould Speaks At Recognition Banquet Jay Gould, farm director of radio station WOWO, will show slides and speak on South America at the adult 4-H leaders recognition banquet Tuesday evening, November 13, at the Decatur Youth and Community Center. The recognition banquet is sponsored by the retail division of the Decatur Chamber of Commerce. The banquet will be served by the ladies from the Pleasant Mills Methodist church. ♦ Johnny Sprunger, entertainment festival winner at the 4-H fair and Indiana state fair, will be on the program. Adams county 4-H club leaders will be awarded certificates and leaders pins depending on the years of 4-H leadership by die county extension office. All 4-H leaders and Chamber of Commerce members are urged to attend. National Tea Co. Declares Dividend CHICAGO, 81. — H. V. McNa- ; mara, president. National Tea Co., today reported that the board of directors at a regular meeting on October 29. declared the fourth quarterly dividened for 1956 of 50 cents per share on the $5 par value , common Shares payable December 1, to stock on record as of November 16. This compares with a 40 cents . dividend paid without interruption since November, 1944. This will bring to a total of $2.40 per common share the dividends paid or declared for this year 1956 to date, which includes four quarterly dividends of 50 cents, plus 40 cents ’ per share paid January 17, 1956.
