Owl And Pigeons BEND, Ore. — (UP) — The Rev. Roger Anderson, pastor of St. Francis Church, put a stuffed owl on the tower to scare off pigeons. It didn't work for long, but Father Anderson said there's one spot the birds don't perch on. the owl. Too Low NEWHAVEN, Conn. — (UP) — A tugboat and a barge became stranded in the Mill River when low tide went too low and as a result motor vehicle traffic was delayed nearly an hour. Fish On Binge FOUNTAIN RUN, Ky.—(UP) — Fish in a pond on his farm had William Hagan worried until he remembered dumping several baskets of plums into the water. Hagan reported the fruit had fermented and the fish were “plum” drunk. The number of positive cases of rabies in Wisconsin declined from 90 in 1954 to 39 in 1955.
