I SUNDAY DINNER I I __l FOR something dinerent for Sunday dinner why not try a one* oerole of curried lamb with the vegetables cooked at the same time and served together? Here’s a recipe recommended by the A 4 P Service for Homemakers. Out two pounds of lamb brenst in pieces, place Jn 1 jlass baking dish or skillet, if preferred. Brown slowhr and pour off fat Then add a ehopped onion, 1 teaspoon salt and 1 tablespoon curry powder, a bay leaf and 2M cups water. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer for 1% hours. Add 4 quartered carrots, 4 quartered potatoes, 1 cup fresh lima beans and simmer until both meat and vegetables are tender. This provides for four servings. To complete such a meal a jellied tomato salad would be most appropriate. Here's how: soften two envelopes of plain, unflavored gelatin in % cup cold water. Force the tomato pulp in a 19 ounce can of tomatoes through a sieve over the gelatin. Add % teaspoon salt, 2 teaspoons sugar, and a dash of pepper, heat and stir until gelatin is all dissolved. Remove from stove, add I tablespoons mayonnaise, 3 tablespoons ketchup and a dash of tabasco sauce, and beat until well blended Fold in 1 tablespoons shopped green pepper and Mi cup ilced celery. Pour into mold and shill until firm. For a quick and easy-toflx dessert arrange canned or frozen grapefruit sections in sherbet glasses and top with blueberries with a spoonful of froten pink lemonade mix for each serving. A communique ifisued by the Polish central committee said it discussed “current problems of interest” with the Soviet visitors. It said the “debates were held in an atmosphere of friendly sincerity.”
