Slate Police Patrol Plane Nabs Speeders Four Are Arrested North Os Decatur Use of the state solice patrol airplane north of Decatur Tuesday resulted in the arrest of four motorists for speeding on U.S. highway 27. R.G. McMillen of Fort Wayne, arrested by state police, appeared in Justice of the peace Floyd Hunter’s court and was fined SI and costs Also fined $1 and costs as a result of the speeding charge was Willard Mulliniis of Greenville, O. The other two arrested Tuesday afternoon on U.S. 27 were George E. Bish, of Ligonier route three, and Robert C. Pape of Fort Wayne They will appear in J.P. court later. Carl E. Elmore, a Decatur. 111., truck driver, was fnied 15 and costs for speeding. He was arrested Tuesday on U.S. highway 234 east of Decatur. Mrs. Mary Millington of Decatur route six. who was charged with failure to signal after an accident last Friday north of Pleasant Mills, appeared in J.P. court Tuesday and was fined JI and costs. Paul R. Harris, of Pennville route one, was also fined |1 and costs in J.P. court Tuesday. He was arres ted Oct. 3 on a charge of passing on a hill. Truman Campaigns In West Virginia Says Eisenhower Is Running Scared PITTSBURGH (UP) — Former President Truman, who skirted Eisenhower supporters during a two-day stay here, took hid "give ’em hell” campaign to West Virginia today. Mr. Truman left the Greater Pittsburgh Airport this morning aboard the private plane of West Virginia Gov. William -e—Marland. He is scheduled to speak today at Morgantown and this evening at Moundsville. W. Va. The former president spoke on Tuesday night to a Democratic* rally at a night club near Monessen. Pa., about 25 miles from where President Eisenhower made his nationwide radio — television address at Pittsburgh’s Hunt amory. Mr. Truman, who did not hear the President’s address, said Mr. Eisenhower is "running scared for theßepublicans; — “On the basis of what I have seen and heard in all the states I've been in, as of now we have them licked." he told the rally. "We got the President out on the roads,” he said. "When you get them yelling and on the defensive. you have them licked.” One Man Killed In Auto-Truck Crash KOUTS, Ind. (UP) —Harry Heck, 79, Beverly Shores, was killed late Tuesday when his auto and a pickup truck pulling a trailer collided headon north of here, state police reported.
