"Didrick, Jr. The double-ring vows were exchanged at 9 o'clock this morning, in the St. Mary s Catholic church, nith a large assemblage of friends an? relatives attending the rites. The bride is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur C. Garner of 1203 West Monroe in Decatur, and the bridegroom is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. (Robert 5$ Dtrfrick., Sr„ of Fort Wayne. Palms, candelabra, and altar bouquets of white gladioli and chysanthemums formed the setting for the ceremony. Sister M. Margaretta, C.S.A., and the men’s choir of the church presented the wedding music. Bride Wore ~“7“ Given in marriage by her father, the bride was lovely in a gown of white nylon tulle and chantilly lace over bridal satin, styled with a peek-a-.boo neckline edged witS a mandarin collar and long lace sleeves foniling pbfhYt’ ore? her wrists The bouffant skirt of satin was designed of pleated nylon tulle overlaid with a peplum of lace. The ' back of Ifer gown featured a of ,lace extending from the waist to the end of her train. She wore a contour headband of nylon mile and lace, edged with small seed pearls, and carried a cascade arrangement of large and small white chrysanthemums. ' ~ t Miss Carol Kiep of Fort Wayne . served as maid of honor. maids were Miss Nancy Knight of Fort Wayne, and Mrs. James Dancer of Angola. They were attired in powder blue nylon chiffon gowns all styled alike. The softly draped bodices of the gowns were designed with square necklines and brief sleeves. Their waltz-length bouffant skirts featured a panel, floating to the hem of the skirte. They • wore horsehair braid coronets with circular veils. Blue and white chrysanthemums. tied with blue satin streamers formed their bouquets. ■ Little Miss Jayne Garner, niece of the bride, served as flower girl in a gown styled similar to the oth-

er attendants. Beet man for the occasion was Edward Maxwell of Chcago, and ushers were Jean and Joseph Dldrick of Fort M r ayne, both brothers of the bridegroom. Dinner and Reception Mrs. Garner wore a navy blue suit with mauve accessories for her daughter's wedding, and the bridegroom’s mother was wearing a navy blue dress with pink accessories. Both had corsages of pink roses. w The Fairway Restaurant was the scene of the wedding dinner held at 11:30 o’clock this morning. The wedding reception will be held at the Youth and Community Center, from 2 until 4 o’clock this afternoon. The blue and white color scheme will be carried out in the decorations of the reception rooms, and a four-tiered wedding cake will center the bridal table. Servers will inelude Mrs. Richard Garner and Mrs. Jack Garner of Fort Wayne, sisters-in-law of the bride, Mrs. Joseph Didrick of Fort Wayne, sister-in-law of the bridegroom, Mrs, Kay Vinciniti of Baltimore, Md., and Mrs. Bill Arnold of Logansport. When the newly-weds leave for a northern wedding trip. Mrs. Didrick jwill be wearing. gJblaek kJMT, suit with black accessories and a corsage from her bridal bouquet. Mrs. Didrick in a graduate of Decatur high school and the St. Joseph Hospital school of nursing. Until her marriage, she was employed at the Adams county memorial hospital. Her hueband is a graduate* of. Central Catholic high school in Fort Wayne and Purdue University'. He is a chemist, aeHociated with Lubrizol in Cleveland. and is presently taking graduate work at John Carroll University in Cleveland. Mr. and Mrs. Didrick will reside in Cleveland following their honeymoon. •' The beginning Brownie Scouts will register Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock, at both the Lincoln and Northwest schools. The girls from the Decatur Catholic grade school will register one week later. October 15. A panel discussion on "Grading’’ will be featured at the opening meeting of the Monmouth P.T.A.. to be held Tuesday evening at 7:30 o’clock at the school. Loren Jones, school principal, will be chairman, and moderator will be Gail M. Grabill, county superlntendant of schools. Panel members will include Mrs. Jesteen Cole, Mrs. Norval Fuhrman, Fred Meier, and Robert Carr.

MISS CAROLYN MEYER IS WED TO BUD EUGENE CASE Miss Carolyn Meyer and- Hud Eugene Case exchanged, nuptial yows in a simple ceremony. performed Friday evening ?(t 7 o'clock in the rectory of the St. Mary's Catholic church. Officiating for the double ring ceremony was the Rev Robert Contant. Only members of the immediate families attended the rites. The bride is the youngest daugh ter of Mr. and’Mrs. Paul Meyer of 916 High street, and the bridegroom is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Case of Willshire, O. A street-length" dress of powder blue wool jersey and navy taffeta was worn by the bride. The jersey bodice had three-quarter length sleeves and was* trim med with navy taffeta covered buttons. Her very full skirt was of the navy taffeta, and she wore blue accessories, which included a navy velvet hit with a brow veil. She carried a round bouquet of light pink roses, and blue maline, tied with blue satin streamers. Attending the couple were Mr. and Mrs. Victor Braun. Mrs. Braun, eldest sister of the bride, was attired in a navy blue taffeta streetlength dress, trimmed with white lace. The bodice featured a V neckline with three-quarter length sleeves, and the skirt was very full. She wore black accessories and carried a round bouquet of red roses and blue maline, tied with blue satin streamers. Mr. and Mrs. Meyer were host to the wedding reception, which was held immediately following the ceremony, at their home, 916 High street. The bride’s chosen colors of blue and white were carried out in the serving rooms. Approximately 75 guests attended the reception. When the couple left for a southern wedding trip, the new Mrs. Case was wearing a black faille sheath dress, trimmed with a plaid satin bow. She completed her em semble with black accessories and wore the rose corsage from her bridal bouquet. A graduate of Decatur Catholic high school, Mrs. Case is secretary to Hubert McClenahan. attorney. Her husband is a graduate of Pleasant Mills high sf-hool, and is employed at International Harvester Co., in Fort Wayne. HOME DEMONSTRATION CLUB HAS HALLOWEEN PARTY The Gals and Pals Home Demonstration club met recently at the Pleasant Mills school, for a meeting and Halloween masquerade .party. Winning the prizes were Mrs. Richard Hamrick. Mrs. Lowell Noll, and Mrs. Ed. McCullough. The meeting was called to order by the president, Mrs. Warren Wolfe, after which the group repeated the club commandments together. The singing of the song of the month was led by Mrs. Roman Sprunger.-*’What I do on a rainy day” was the answer given to roll call. Mrs. Hamrick gave the health jand safely lesson and Mrs. Noll and Mrs. Paul McCullough presented the lesson of "The Carpet Story.” A trip to Fort Wayne is being planned by the club for later this month. Members interested in going are asked to contact Mrs. Gordan Suman. The exact date will he announced later. Election of officers was conducted with the following results: president, Mrs. Gordon Suman; vice-president Mrs. Richard Hamrick; secretary, Mrs. Lyle Bailey; assistant secretary, Mrs. Marvin Watkins; treasurer, Mrs. Russell Watkins; and assistant treasurer, Mrs. Ted Eady.

Nov. 6, is the final day to pay the second installment of 1956 taxes. Any payments not made by; tljat date will be subject to a delinquency penalty. Neal urged that taxpayers avoid the last minute rush by paying their taxes as soon as possible. He announced that the office would be open Monday through Friday 8:30 a m. to 4 p.m., on Saturday from 8:30 to noon, and on the last two Saturdays, Oct. 27 and Nov. 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. ■
