Dale Hamilton officiating. Piy-tyis of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Ralph R. Clary of Monon and Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur E. Petrie of Decatur. Mrs. Petrie is a graduate of Monon high school and attended Hanovec College. Her husband was graduated from Decatur high school and Hanover College. He is presently Employed by Gerber Baby Foods in'Fremont, Mich. Mr. and Mrs. Petrie are residing at 216 N. Division street in Fremont.

McClenahan To Serve As Judge Pro Tem Hubert R. McClenahan has been appointed by Judge MylesF. Parrish to serve as judge pro tem of the Adams circuit court for the next several days. McClenahab assumed his temporary duties Friday and will remain on the bench in Judge Parrish’s absence through Friday. Aug 24. Announcement was also made today by county clerk Richard Lewton of the appointment of Miss Barbara Letfton to serve as deputy clerk Aug. 20 through Aug. 25. Lewton, his wife,- and family, will vacation during the week at Pretty Lake. RAINBOW GIRLS HOLD FORMAL INITIATION The Order of the Rainbow for Girls, assembly 24, held a formal initiation Thursday at the Masonic hall. Initiated into the assembly were Kay Wynn, Judy Wortlnnan. Janet Miller, Penny Longerboue. Arlene Zimmerman, Elaine Coch ran, Onaglee Barkley, Sidney Beery, and Mary Heller. Officers who conferred the degrees were Sue Petrie, Sara Brun nagraff. Barbara Kalver. Ann Uhrick, Judy Lane, Sharon Michaud, Donna Small, Janalee Smith. Ellen Welch, Betsy Burk, Patty McCammon, Helen Bollinger, Joyce Smith. Gayle Custer, Barbara Brunnegraff, Barbara Burk, Janet Stiverson, Carol Norquest, Ann Kocher, Twannette Magley, Barbara Suttles and Mrs. >Marie Wynn. The choir, consisting of twenty members, sang songs after each lesson of the officers. Members of the Eastern Star, and Masons who attended were Mary Alice Barkley, Chalmer Barkley, Virginia Perry. Mr. and Mrs. Doyt Miller. Mary Cochran, Francis Bohnke, Frank Bohnke, Marvel Beery. Edith Pingry, Arminda Lehman,, and Mrs. Francis Ellsworth. September 6, there will be a formal installation of officers at 7 o’clock at the Masonic hall. The public is invited to attend. All rainbow girls who are going to Pokagon state park Sunday are asked-to meet at the Masonic hall at 8 a.m. Sunday morning and bring a snack lunch. The Pinochle club met recently at the home of Clarice Portet. A dessert was served, after which five games of pinochle were played. Prizes were worn by Gpldine Magley, Viola Dull and Clarice Porter. The traveling prize was won by Louanna Banning. September 20, the club will meet with Lois Kohne and Viola Dull will furnish the prizes. The Union township home demonstration club members and their families will meet Thursday evening at 6:30 o’clock at Hanna-Nut-tman park for a picnic. Those who attend are asked to bring a covered dish and enough weiners and buns for their families. Earl Chase will show pictures of several national parks. Hostesses are Mrs. Nile Williamson, Mrs. Gerald Springer and Mrs. Forrest Wallers. - . The Women of the Moose met recently for their regular meeting. • The Mooseheart alumni chairman. William . Everett, 33, of Muncie, was arrtested for following too closely in his truck on U.S. highway 27 north of 'Decatur. He was fined $1 ahd costs. Donald Horner, 20. of Fort V\ayne was arrested for speeding on U. S. higway 27 at the north limits of Decatur. He was fined $1 and costs. A .fine of 325 and costs was paid by Richard C. Walter of Decatur, who arrested last week for driving , 95 miles per hour in a 6a-mile-hour zone. Charles L. Tobin, a Fort Wayne truck driver arrested Friday for speeding, was shied ? 1 and costs in J. P. court this morning.

Plymouth ts Hit By Heavy Storm Friday PLMOUTH, Ind. (UP) — A severe storm and torrential downpour hit this city Friday night, causing extensive property damage. A tent —type skating rink collapsed at the height of the storm, but no Injuries were reported. Power was disrupted for hours by Talling trees, and traffic in city streets was blocked. The storm, accompanied by high winds, lasted about 30 minutes.
