Children's Answers Astound Linkletter Most Enjoyable But Some Embarrassing By ART LINKLETER (Written tor United Press) HOLLYWOOD (UP) — The most enjoyable part of tpy work — and the most embarrassing -—ls the interviews I do with kids on ‘ House Party” every day. One of the questions I frequently ask the children is how their parents met. One 4-year-old girl stated uneqiiivocably, ‘'My mom j| SUNDAY DUCNEB | SOMETIMES R is worthwhile to prepare meal* ahead es time. It la possible to prepare three dinners at once from one small turkey, j Here’s away to do it that is reoI ommended by the A A P'Service ; for Homemakers. Wash and cut off wings and legs of an 8%-pound turkey. Remove skins from breast, keeping skin in one piece. Cut meat from one thigh and one side of breast. Place thia in the skin, roll and tie securely with string, and place in kettle with rest of turkey. Add 1 cup cutup celery, 1 sliced onion, sprig parsley, 1 tablespoon salt, S cups lof water. Cover and simmer 2 hours. Let stand 30 minutes, remove turkey and take meat from bones. ~ For the first dinner, turkey fricassee and dumplings, use 2*6 cups ; turkey meat cut in pieces. Melt 3 tablespoons butter in kettle, blend in %-cup flour, add 3 cups stock and cook until thickened. Add turkey and heat. Drop dumpling batter into boiling mixture, cover and simmer for 10 minutes. For second dinner, make a mousse. Sprinkle 1 envelope plain gelatin ovw (4-cup water, let stand for 5 minutes; then dissolve in V&cups turkey stock. Chill until partially set. Mix 2 cups ground tur- ’ key, %-teaspoon curry powder, %- cup mayonnaise, %-teaspoon celery salt. Add gelatin and beat until fluffy. Season to taste. Fold in three-fourths cup heavy cream, whipped; pour into oiled mold, chill until set. Unmold on salad greens. Tor the third dinner, slice the cold turkey roll and arrange on a platter of garnishes. Suitable vegetables and desserts can be served with each dinner, although all were prepared the first day and kept for each occasion. [ «
