Sicer suggests tnat poultrymen consider improvements and repair jobs for an efficient, labor saving laying house as follows:
Provide running water in the house. Save the back breaking job of carrying 10 tons of water a year for every 100 hens. Install feed storage bins in the house. Preferably built so bins can be filled from the outside off a truck, and the feed removed from bin as needed from inside the house. Provide low roosting racks with welded wire beneath the perches
