Dairy Farm Field Day Held Tuesday Two hundred fifty fanners attended the dairy farm building field day Tuesday on the Oarl Amstutz farm in Jefferson township, reported Leo N. Seltenright, county agricultural agent. John Foley, agricultural engineer from Purdue University, discussed the loose arrangements of dairy cattle, which he designed for the Amstutz farpi. Included in the discussion were points of interest on a cattle guard, bunker silo, hay keeper, loafing barn and milking parlor. Also a poultry house and machinery center were observed. A demonstration of the bulk tank milk pickup was given by Sherman VortGunten. Refreshments of milk and doughnuts were provided by the Adams County Co-op, the Berne Hardware and Home Dairy of Berne.
