Columbia City Plans Old Settlers Day A renewal of old fashioned entertainment. coupled with the modern, will feature the 44th old settlers day combined with the American Legion festival on the courthouse square in Columbia City August 8 through 11. Nearly every form of entereainment will be offered beginning with “dancing in the,streets” on old settlers eve, Wednesday, Aughst 8. A band concert followed by a square dance on the courthouse lawn will open the festivities at 7 p.m. Selection of the Whitley county checker and horseshoe champions and the oldest and longest continuous residents of Whitley county will feature the one-day celebration Thursday. Vaudeville acts on the courthouse lawn Thursday afternoon and evening and Friday and Saturday evening head the entertainment program for the four-day affair. -* - ■ Decatur Floral Co.
