Ist Tropical Storm Moves Into Mexico Tampico Battening Down For Hurricane TAMPICO. Max. (UP) — Anna, the first tropical storm of the reason. broke her back on the rugged mountain ranges of northeast Mexico south of Tampico today. She moved inland Thursday night with winds up milean hour near the boiling center. Tampico, not yet recovered from last year's devastating hurricanes, battened down. Tractor Damaged By Vandals Last Night Vandals were at work in St. Mary's township near Pleasant Mills Thursday night, according to a sheriffs report. A farm tractor was partly dismantled and damaged to the extent of more than SIOO.
