MRS. RUBY HARRISON WEDS KENNETH BEARD Mrz. Ruby Harrison and Kenneth 11. Beard exchanged wedding vows Saturday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Allard Benedict of Fort Wayne, with the Rev. Laverne Sandy of the Calvary Presbyterian church officiating for the doublering ceremony. • Mrs. Merle Gass of Ossian attend the bride as matron-of-honor and Jack Marshall served the bridegroom as best man. A reception was held following the ceremony with Mrs. Allard Benedict as hostess, assisted by Mrs. Jack Marshall of Jackson. Mich., and Mrs. Richard Jones of IWlas. Tex. Mr. and Mrs. Beard will be at home after August 15 at 105 West Rugg street, Decatur. MERRIER MONDAY’S HOLD MEETING The Merrier Monday s club held their July meeting with a family picnic at theßluffton C.€i. camp. Thirtydive adults and 31 children were present. The meeting was opened by the president, Mrg. DaleFrucht*. A new members, Mrs Gene Hurst, was welcomed into the club. The group decided on a white elephant sale at the next meeting. The Augustan meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Richard Borne with Mrs. Russell Moser as co-hostess. The Zion Lutheran Needle club will meet Thursday afternoon at 1 o’clock in the parish hall. The V.F.W. ladles auxiliary will have an ice cream sociaJ Saturdayon the lawn of the V.F.W’. home on Third street. Cake. pop. pies, and entertainment will be available. The affair will begin at. 5 o'clock. The Decatur home demonstration club held a family picnic recently with a potluck dinner at HannaNUttman park. A short business meeting was held and a social hour followed. Hostesses included the Mesdames Paul Daniels. William Kohle, Noble Reynolds. Carl Hammond, and Oran Schultz.
