Senators Score first Victory In Little League Saturday’s three-gaine schedule -in the Decatur Little League at Worthman field was featured by the first victory of the season for the Senators, who rallied for four runs in the bottom of the sixth to edge out the White Sox, 19-18, in a high scoring tilt. ■ In afternoon games, the. Yankees whipped the Red Sox, 101, and the Indians smothered the Tigers, 22-5, scoring 10 runs in the fourth to end the game at the end of four because of the league's 15-run rule. In the Saturday evening clash, the Senators went into the final inning with a 15-12 lead, but the White Sox cut loose - for "SlX’Tuns to take an 18-15 margin. But the Senators put the first three batters to base on walks in the bottom of the sixth. , then an error and two straight hits carried the Senators to their first win of the season. The winners were paced by Mike Schultz, who slammed out five. hits, including two triples, and batted in seven runs. Cards Defeat Braves, 11 -6, In Pony League The Cardinals piled up an early lead to defeat the Braves, 11-6, in a battle of Decatur teams in the Adams county Pony League Saturday night at Worthman field. The Cardinals taßied three times in the first inning, six In the third and two in the fourth and held an 11-1 lead as end of four innings, which the Braves could not overcome. Klenk's Loses To Rockford In Loop Tilt Erupting for five runs in the eighth inning, Rockford defeated Klenk's of Decatur for the second game in a row, 7-4 at the Rockford dianjond Sunday afternoon. The teams were tied at 2-2 after seven and one-half innings of play but Rockford cut loose with five runs on four hits, an. error and a fielder's choke. Klenk’s counter-rallied in the ninth, scoring twice on singles by Masters and Williams and Crist's two-base blow, but Lee relieved Mottinger and fanned Hoehammer to end the game. Klenk's will play their next two games at home, meeting Fort Recovery at 8 p.m. Thursday at Worthman field, and Coldwater Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, also Worthman. Both were tare Western Buckeye league encounters.
