The bride is a graduate of Hartford high school and until recently was employed in the offices of Smith Brothers furniture company in Berne. The program consisted of a farewell party, for Mrs. Herald Welty. Mrs. Welty received a corsage and a gift from the circle. Prayer was offered by Mrs. Nornyt Tombleson and devotions were given by Arlene Galogly. Thirteen members and one guest were present. Prizes were won by Mrs. Kate Sommrs, Mrs. Norma Tombleson, and Mrs. Agnes ‘Johnston. The closing lyayer was offered by Mrs. Welty. UNION TOWNSHIP CLUB HOLDS RECENT MEETING Sixteen members, four visitors and ten children attended the June meeting of the Union township women’s club. The president. Mrs, Theari Stults, opened the meeting with creed and Mrs. Forrest Walters offered prayers, which was followed by .the song of the month. During the business meeting it was decided to hold the family picnic at Hanna-Nuttman park. August 23. Damage caused by a tire at the Robert Zwdck residence on North Third street at 1:05 a.m. today was slight. The damage was confined to a sofa which caught fire some time during the night. Gause fire was unknown. Decatur firemen were called but the fire was out by the time they arrived.

Prize Photo Entered By Decatur Resident Mrs. Lloyd Cowens of this city, who submitted a photograph of her grandson. Michael Lueras of Florida, in a contest conducted by the Fort Wayne News Sentinel, today received a check and a letter stating that the prize photo .would appear in today's picture section. Mrs. Cowens took the picture last winter when she and Mr. Cowens were visiting the Lueras family in Florida.
