Safety Messages Along Highways On Safety Week The Indiana state highway <epartment Jiaa designed special safety messages to be placed along the highways during traffic safety week, July 1 through 7. The slogan "Speed Kills — Slow Down and Live" is featured on weatherproof hoods which will be slipped over truck and bus speed limit
signH. Approximately 2i»o of th| hoods wifi be pasted alaag stats routes by the 36 sub-districts of the Indiana state highway department. They will be placed on the highways at those points where motorists are most likely to be violating state speed limits. Traffic safety week in Indiana was officially proclaimed for July 1 through py Governor George N. Craig and by 14b Indiana mayors in their own cities.

Ind., was elected secretary of the Lutheran Church-Mis-souri synod here during the weekend. He succeeded the Rev. Dr. Martin F. Kretsmahn, Danville, Ind., who served since 1920. Rev Kretxmann was elected to the board of directors. He was the only clergyman on the first ballot.
