Its 2.191,403 members belong to 5.6’7 congregations, served by 4,175 pastors. An additional 678 clergymen serve in non-parish capacities in districts or on the national scene. The Missouri synod maintains twx> theological seminaries, two teachers colleges, and ten preparatory schools with a total enrollment of 4901 students preparing for full-time service in the church. A‘new senior college for theology students is at present l>eiiig built in Ft. Wayne at a cost of approximately 7 million dollars. Practice Parachute Jumps Are Scheduled v On Sunday Afternoon Announcement was made today that two practice parachute Jumps will be made Sunday afternoon at Gage field, on South Winchester street, if weather permits. Robert Railing, in making the announcement, said that a private airport is now under construction at the field, located on the east side of the street, and the main runway will be open about the middle of July. A parachute jump club has been started here, ajd two of the <iub members will make the practice Jumps Sunday. A full summer. schedule of the Jumps is planned. The public is fnlvted to .attend but no one will be permitted in the Jump area at the time of the Jumps for precaution ary reas'cas.
