Noll. , * The bride is a graduate of Monmouth high school and is employed as secretary for the county superintendent of schools. MISS KAYE HEARE IS RECENTLY MARRIED Miss Kaye Frances Hea re, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. Ivan Heare, recently became the bride of James A. Lobsiger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lobsiger, in a dou-ble-ring ceremony with the Rev. William J. Van Uliet officiating. The bride apd bridegroom are both* graduates of Adams Central high school. She is employed in the commercial office at the Citisens Telephone company. The bridegroom is presently serving with the air national guard at Shepard Field A.F.8., Tex. ',—■„ — ! COUPLE CELEBRATES GOLDEN WEDDING ANNIVERSARY Mr. and Mrs. Louis J. Houk of route one, Decatur, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Sunday. After attending church together the family enjoyed dinner at a restaurant in Van Wert, <X Open house was held in the afternoon and evening at their farm home. The entertaining rooms were decorated with vases filled with gold mums and gladioli. Mrs. Herman Dierkes, president, presided over a short business meeting. Election of officers for the coming year was held and Mrs. Frances Monahan was elected .president and Mrs. Elmer Darwachter was re-elected secretary-treasurer. Games were played and prizec awarded to Mrs. Herman Dierkes, Mrs. Lawrence Rash and Mrs. Frank Liniger. At the close of the meeting, refreshments were serv-| ed by the hostess.

TRI KAPPAS MEET TO PLAN INITIATION The Tri Kappa sorority met Tuesday evening kt the home of Mrs. James Kocher, Jr., for a called business meeting. Mrs. Kocher ' reported on the province 8 convention held at Wabash recently. A beautiful Madame Alexander doll was displayed by the doll project chairman. Mrs. Franklyn Det- ( ter. The doll will be outfitted in an extensive wardrobe and given away early in December. v The following officers were elected for the coming year: presi- , dent, Mrs. James Kocher. Jr.; vice- ' president, Mrs. Robert Worthman; I recording secretary, Mrs. James j Webb; treasurer, Mrs. Kenneth Singleton. Completed plans were made for the Initiation services to be conducted at the Ranch House in Fort Wayne Tuesday, June 19. The first initiation will be at 4:45 p.m. and the three other services will follow at half hour intervals. Dinner will be served at seven o'- I clock, with Mrs. Simon Heemstra as mistress-of-ceremonies. Apy in-j active Tri Kappa member who wishes to attend is asked to call Mrs. Joe Kaehr for reservations. After the business meeting, a pledge service was held for Miss Judy Franz. ACADEMY OF FRIENDSHIP HOLDS LAST MEETING Twenty-seven members of the | Academy of Friendship enjoyed a j 6 o'clock chicketi dinner Monday evening at the West End restaurant They then went to the Moose home for their last regular meeting of the year. The business meeting wag conducted by Bertha Beltz and final plans were made for the group tri* to Chicago, 111., June 24. Election of officers was held with, the following results: Laura Myers, chairman; and Loretta McCullough, secretary. The meetings of next year will be held the fourth Monday of each month with the exception bf July and August, when there will be no meetings. The bride chose a silk taffeta gown, featuring a long torso, side fulness to the skirt ending in a chapel train. GENEVA BIBLE SCHOOL COMEB TO CLOSE The children of the Geneva Methodist Bible «chool presented a program Sunday evening in the church auditorium and also exhibited their work books, hand work and crafts in the basement of Wesley hall, a new addition to the church. The school, which was under the direction of Mrs. Lorene Fenstermaker, had 67 children who completed the two weeks course.
