ANNUAL CONVENTION TO BE HELD BY PSI IOTA XI Delegates representing 87 chapters ol Psi lota Xi sorority -will trowel to the Motherland Plata hotel in Cincinnati, June 15 and 14, tor the annual sorority convention. Mrs. Betty McNerhey and Mrs. Gene Rash are the official delegates from the local Alpha Delta chapter of <Psi lota Xi. "Showboat” is the chosen theme of the convention pnd thia motif Will be carried out in the prograth and decorations; The business Sessions will be conducted in the Hall of Mirrors, and the Pavilion Caprice will be the setting for the social events. Included In the projects now supported by the organisation, is a summer boarding clinic at hall State Teachers College, for children with speech and bearing problems. Thia is sponsored jointly by the college and Psi lota Xi. The sorority also makes an annual grant of $2,000 to the Indlanapoiit speech and hearing kindergarten, and provides assistantships for the speech end hearing elintoe at Ohio StSte University, Columbus, and Indiana Slate Teachers College. Terre Haute. Two >SOO "return and serve” scholarships pre awarded to graduate students in psychiatric social work at Indiana University, and a grant is nyade to the Washington, D. C-. hearing society. The sorority also contributes to many othjer worth while projects. The social highlight pt the convention is to be the formal diftner Saturday night with the theme •‘Mgke-Believe," and Maggie Daly, famous mannequin and radio and TV personality of Chicago, will be the featured artist. DALE ALAN BAUMAN HONORED WITH PARTY A party honoring Dale Alan Bauman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bauman, was held on his .first birthday. June 9, vt the Itorne of his parents. FAMILY REUNION HELD BY BERBER FAMILY The family of the late Mr. and Mrs. Gottlle E. Gerber held a reunion at Hanna-Nuttman park Sunday.
