Program Sunday At Missionary Church Closing Exercises For Bible School The vacation Bible school program at the Missionary church will be held Suoday evening at 7:30. This year’s school was the largsit tn the hletofy of the church, with aq enrollment of over 100. The program will be as follows: Nursery Class — Mrs. Virgil Bigler, teacher, and M re. Delbert Augsburger, assistant. The class will demonstrate a day in Bible school. • kindergarten class — Mrs. Jack Gray, teacher; Nancy Helm, helper. They will sing a group of songs and answer questions with Bible verses they have learned. Grades 1 and 2 — Mrs. George Millington teacher, and Martha Shaw helper. A quiz about God’s friends, Bible memory verses, and reports of different missionary children. Grades 3 and 4 — Mrs. Harold Idlewinb, teacher, and Sharon Irflewlne he’per. The enrollment numbered 195 children and 41 staff members, for a total of 236. The theme of the course this year was, “God’s Children Pray." , Certificates of attendance and faithful work will be offered to the children entitled to them by the department secretaries: Gloria Wall. Kathleen Schultz, Phyllis Schmidt, Cheryl Ashbaucher, and Claudia Caston. The general secretary. .Mrs. Reinhold Sauer, will present certificates of faithfulness to the staff members. Thirty-five of the 41 staff members had a perfect attendance for the ten days of instruction. Following the closing, service this evening, the parents and friends of the vacation school are invited to examine the work books and Handicraft displays of the various departments in the parish hall. G E. Scholarship To WilliAm G. Tofre Announcement was made today of the awarding of a General Electric scholarship to William G. Tope, son of Russell Tope of Wren, O„ who is an employe of the local G. E. plant. The Scholarship is one of 68 awarded by the company this year. The scholarship is for the 195657 academic year. Tope, a graduate of Wren high school, has been attending Purdue University extension for the past two years. This fall he will resume his studies in the Held of chemical engineering at the Purdue campus at Lafayette. This is the second G. E. scholarship won by Tope. He received one of the 1954 scholarships.
