i Miss Dana Lynn Doyle, four-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Doyle ot Indianapolis, was struck by a car Friday noon and is in critical condition at General hospital in Indianapolis. Mrs. Doyle is the former Gloria Strb ker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Striker. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar (Gerber, Mrs. Lulu Frncbter and Mrs. Lydia Foughty have returned from Gibson City, IH., where they visited Mr. and Mrs. Robert McGriff and daughter Janet. They also attended the high school graduation exercise, in which Janet participated. Richard Knapp recently graduated from the civil school ot engineering at Purdue University. Knapp, his wife, and their daughter Kendyle are moving to Midland, Tex. Those wflo attended his graduation included Mrs. Forrest Murray, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Knapp of Decatur, Roger Knapp of Cincinnati, 0., and Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Bockman of Huntertown. V„ Mills, former Decatur man who has resided the last year with his son-in-law and daughter, the Rev. and Mrs. Bea Franklin at' Logansport, is moving With the Franklins to Greencastle. Rev. Franklin has befep assigned to the Methodist church at Greencastle. Word has, been .received here (hat Ed Boknecht, former Decatur resident now of California, i» residing at treasure Island, Laguna Beach, Cal. Boknecht. who had been ill fOr some time; was released from the sanitarium late this winter. . Miss Dohna Miller of this city received her certificate in modeling from the Bobbi Foster modeling school in Fort Wayne, Sunday evening. Miss Miller modeled at St. Paul's auditorium in Fort Wayne last evening. Dale Death, Decatur policeman who suffered the loss of several toes in an accident at his home recently while mowing the lawn. Is reported to he improving at Adams county memorial hospital. Officer Death probably will remain in the.hospital for at least (mother week. ’ John this city, is Reported to be improving from a stroke suffered last December. The Decatur newspaperman enjoyed an hour’s automobile ride Saturday afternoon. Ed Miller, Decatur police officer, who suffered a heart attack several weeks ago Is reported to be improved. He is able to take a dally walk and his attending physician eaid that he was completely out of danger at present. Fined For Hunting Without License Gene Finch of Willshire, 0., was arrested Saturday «in SL Mary’s township by conservation officer Jack Hurst for rabbit hunting without a license. He was fined $lO and costs in justice of the peace court.

S. W. S bf Calvary E.U.B. church, at the' church, <1:80 p.m. Two Accidents Are ■’S’ ! Reported In County Two Minor Wrecks Saturday, Sunday , Two accidents occurred In Adams county over the weekend. The first was Saturday at 3:10 p.m. on a county road three miles east of Decatur involving a car driven by James P. Adams, 16, of Decatur. The left rear tire of the auto blew out, causing the car to go out of control into a ditch. The car then skidded back across the road into a tree. Damage was estimated at S4OO. Sheriff Merle Atfolder and state trooper Dan Kwasneski investigated. The other accident was Sunday at 1:45 p.m. three miles east ot Decatur on U. S. highway 224 at the intersection ot the county road. Cars driven by Julius L. Lengerich. 35, of Monroeville route two, and Vilas S. Moser, 50, of Decatur route three, collided. Lengerich was following the Moser vehicle and was attempting to pass just as Moser began a left turn. Lengerich was arrested for improper passing and Moser was charged with improper signalling. Damage was estimated at $125 to the Lengerich car and $l5O to the Moser vehicle. Sheriff Affolder and state trooper Walter Schindler Investigated. Wedding Party Is 2 Killed In England SHEFFIELD, England (UP) — A wedding party of nine persons was killed Sunday when Its station wagon collided with a bus. The victims included the bride, 21-year-old Florence Curbishley, who was still wearing her wedding dress, and the bridegroom, John Curbishley, 23.

Mis* Lois Reed attended the bride.As maid-ot-honor and bridesmaids were Miss Dianne Linn and Miss Su Braden. They wore crystalette gowns in powder blue. The princess gowns featured a cowl collar with a back bow- The skirts were waltz-length. Horsehair braid hats of matching shades completed their ensembles. The maid-of-bonor carried a bouquet of yellow roses and the bridesmaids carried bouquets of pink roses. Little Miss Mary Goodridge served as flower girl and Mark Goodridge was ring bearer. They are twin niece and nephew of the bridegroom. Miss Goodridge wore a dress styled similar to that of the bride’s. Paul Hakes attended the bridegroom as best man and guests were seated by Ted Hakea of Ada, 0., Robert Hakes of Cincinnati, 0., both cousins ot the bridegroom, and Roger Harris, brother ot the bride. For het daughter** wedding, Mrs. Harris chose a light blue lace dress with white accessories, while the bridegroom’s mother was attired in a navy sheer drees yith white accessories. The Youth and Community Center was the scene pf the reception at which 250 guests attended- The table was centered with aa ice punch bowl and the wedding cake with candelabra at either end. Pope Pius Reported Steadily Recovering VATICAN CITY (UP) — Pope Pius XII is recovering steadily from a sore throat caused by a general weakness In his condition, Vatican sources said today. The sources cited the granting of a private audience to Brazilian Viee President Joao Qoulart this morning as evidence of the 80-year-old Pope’s improvement. Transcript Is Filed In Ostrander Case Voluminous Record Is Filed In Case The final chapter in the armed rape cause in Adams circuit court entitled state vs. Charles William Ostrander was written Saturday when Judge Myles F. Parrish ordered the 84-page transcript of proceedings made a part of the official record. Ostrander was sentenced recently on a guilty plea to a determinate term of 20 years in the Indiana state prison and the convicted man is now serving that term. In ctAnpiiance with rules of the Indiana supreme court, it is inanda tpry to make a complete record of proceedings a part of the permanent record. The 84-page typewritten transcript was prepared by Miss Romaine Raudenbush, court reporter. The volumnipus document was typed completely since Ostrander was sentenced two weeks ago. Miss Raudenbush now is making a similar transcript in the cause in juvenile court against Ostrander’s admitted ally in crime. Kenneth Eugene Thompson, aged IS, who is serving a sentence until 21 years of age at the Indiana boys school.
