Monthly Report 01 County Hospital Statistical Report For May Announced I The monthly statietical repprt of Adams county memorial hospital reveals that there were 84 adult patients and nine babies at the hospital on May 1 and this had tn- ; creased to 42 adults and nine 1 babies on May 81. During the month 202 adult : patients and 46 babies were admitted. Five adults and two babies 1 died at the hospital during the month. Forty-six babies were born at the hospital in May and of this number, 24 were boys and 22 were girls. > Os the total cash on hand May 1 lof $49,056, salaries and wages accounted for the largest expenditure. Operating cash at the'first of the month was 818,657.98 and deposits during the month totalled. 828,724.14. The spring tax installment totalled 16,673.88. making th'e cash total 848,056.00. Salaries and wages totalled 813,514.68 In May and bills paid totalled 87.364.91. Expenditures were 820,879.59, leaving a cash balance of 828,176.41. Monthly deposits of 823,724.14 I less the expenditures of 820,879 59, I left a monthly profit of 82,844.5a.

Subnormal Weather Has Grip On State Warming Trend Is | Forecast Tuesday By UNITED PRESS Chilly subnormal temperatures I kept a firm grip on Indiana today but showed signs of weakening. The mercury, which hit lows la the icy 30s early Saturday from the Ohio River to Lake Michigan, dipped Into the 40s early this morning and may do the same upstate tonight. The weather bureau said temperatures Sunday ranged from 63 north to 75 south at their highest points and will be only slightly warmer today—6B to 76. The lows early today ranged from 48 north tc 49 south, and will range from 48 to 55 tonight. A warmup was due Tuesday, with highs of 77 in the northern two-thirds of the state and 80 in the south portion. Meanwhile, the muddy crests of the White and Wabash rivers moved slowly downstream toward their confluence west of Princeton. The weather bureau reported Jha» the east fork of the White "river was failing at Bedford today after cresting at 23 >4 feet Saturday. The White was rising at Petersburg this morning toward a crest of about 22 feet late today or early Tuesday. A crest of about 23 feet—7 feet above flood stage—was forecast for Haleton Wednseday or Thursday.
