U. N. COMMAND (Coat In wed from Page <>°e> tectively prevented it from performing in North Korea the task which under the armistice agreement, it was created to do." The neutral nations commission —made up of representatives of Poland, Chechoslovakia, Sweden and Switxehland —has long been a thorn in the side of Republic of Korea President Syngman Rhee. Rhee has charged repeatedly that the red members have used the functions of the commission to spy on Sotuh Korea. The UNC statement insisted on strict compliance with all provisions of the Korean armistice agreement and said such compliance la expected to include: 1. “Corrected Cbmmunist reports of every incoming shipment of combat materials and combat aircraft they nave illegally introduced into Korea since the signing of the armience agfeement.” 2. Cessation of illegal introduction of arms “and finally removal of all items illegally introduced.” Except for suspended activities of the truce inspection teams the UNC said it will "continue to adhere scrupulously" to all other provisions of the armistice agreement. Withdrawal of neutral commission personnel and equipment from South Korea to the demilitarised tone is expected to be completed at an early day.
