MERRIER MONDAYS HAS MAY MEETING RECENTLY Twenty-one members attended the May meeting of the Merrier Mondays club which recently met with Mrs. Charles Sheets. Assisting hostess was Mrs. Gerhard Witte. Mrs. Dale Fruechte opened the meeting, after which roll was called and the secretary and treasurer reports were read by Mrs. Loren JJechty, and Mrs. Lores Steury. respectively. The health and safety lesson on “Dental Care” was presented by Mrs. Richard Conrad. Thank you notes were read by Mrs. Carlton Worthman. followed by a report of the tour to Fort Wayne by Mrs. Loren Liechty. The lesson on "New Fabrics” <a» given by Mrs. Junior Arnold. Following the meeting, refreshments were served by the hostessed. It was announced that the June meeting would be held at the home .of Mrs. Eddie Nussbaum, with Mrs. Gene Mitchel as cohosteM. Mrs. Orly Schiemann. all from Decatur, and Mrs. Fred Major from Hartford City. £_ RECENT KITCHEN SHOWER HONORS BRIDE ELECT Miss Jeannine Schultz was recently hostess to a kitchen shower in honor of Miss Marlene Thieme. Miss Thieme and James Wilson will exchange vows June 2. The dining room table was nicely appointed with a decorated cake placed in the very center, and small heart shaped cakes surrounding it. Blue and yellow crepe paper tapered from the center of the room to the edges of the table. Each of the card tables in the room was decorated with blue and yellow paper extending from one corner to another. Upon her arrival, the bride-elect was presented with a lovely corsage. . Games were played and prizes awarded to Sara Frank. Shirley Wass, and Helen Roth, who in turn presented them to the honored guest. After Miss Thieme opened her many gifts, refreshments were served. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland. — "SUNNY CIRCLE CLUB IN MEETING TUESDAY The Preble Sunny Circle home demonstration club met Tuesday evening at the Preble recreation center. The meeting was opened with the members repeating the club creed. Mrs. Robert Beery then led the group singing. Mts. Elmer Peters gave a health Idssin on dental health. Devotions were presented by Mrs. Walter Hildebrand. Refreshments were served to the seventeen members and two children present by Mrs. William dren present by Mrs. WilMflm Werling and Mrs. Walter Hildebrand. The next meeting will be held June 26. The Profit and Pleasure home demonstration club will meet at the home of Mrs. Delmar Connelly Monday evening at 7:30 o’clock. Members of the Happy Homemakers club are asked to bring a guest to their meeting Tuesday evening. Mrs. Clarence Mitchell will be hostess for this guest night to begin at 7:30 o'clock. The Juniors of the American Legion auxiliary will meet at the Legion home Monday from 4 until 6:30 p.m. The W.S.W.S. of the Trinity E. U.B. chhrch will entertain all women and girls of the church ’tuesdgy evening at 7:30 o'clock. A good program is being planned and a tea will also be featured.
