ious displays in the remainder of the classrooms, will be open to the public before and after the main part of the program. David Beery is the master of ceremonies Lor the evening, and the program will begin at 8 o'clock with several numbers by the band. A short meeting of the P.T.A. will follow, and then the remainder of the program will continue. There will be several selections by a brass and also a clarinet ensemble, and the high school chorus will sing several songs. The big event will be a style show which is being planned >y the senior home economics class. Several of the sophomore girls in the physical education classes will present a square dance, and a tumbling exhibition will also be given. The activities of this evening summarite many of our varied projects of the year, and they are definitely a mark of progress. — M. H. S. — They'd Rather Work KANSAS CITY, Mo. the month of September the class officers were elected, baseball , games were played, the annual , staff was chosen, and committees i were appointed for freshman in- , itfation and senior class play. ()<•- i tober .brought freshman initiation, i tryouts for senior class play, class r I parties, advertising caanpaigns for ! ( the annual, senior pictures were f taken, and a vacation because of teachers’ institute. With November the basketball season opened, j and the students enjoyed ThanksI giving vacation. In December the - county music festival was held at . Adams Central, election for Mr. . and Miss P.M.H.S. was held, more . basketball games were played and Christmas vacation was held. With i the start of the new year. Pleasant r Mills had more ball games and I participated in the county tourney. | f On January 28 the district music .... contest was held in Fort Wayne - and P.M.H.S.’s 5 Teens and mixed quartet won superior ratings thus allowing them to participate in the , state contest on February 18. February also brought more bail games and the sectional. In March the high schobl chorus participated in the district organization for choruses at Bluffton, work on the Pleasant Mills track field progressed, and numerous track meets -were— held.- In April more track meets were held as well as the county meet at Berne. The latter part of April also brought the Junior class play and trip to Washington. as well as baccalaureate exercises for the seniors and the annual ‘‘last day of school" supper sponsored by the P. T. A. With May came the final exams and the commencement exercises for the seniors. All in all H’s been a great year! — P. M. H. S. — The senior class members were honored guests at a carry-in supper sponsored by class No. 7 of the Pleasant Mills Methodist church. The evening was enjoyed by all the class members and they would like to thank the church for the fine evening. — P. M. H. S. — Seniors were also the honored guests at the annual “last day of school” supper sponsored by the Pleasant Mills P. T. A. This an-, nual affair featured a ciirry-ln supper and entertainment was furnished by the Pleasant Mills band, the first and second grade children, and numerous other people. - P. MH. s. — , The juniors are all back safe and sound from their class trip. Reports have it that they had loads of fun. and we’re sure they did! While they were there some of the kids experienced their first airplane ride. — P. M. H. S. — Finals have everyone worried here—worried what will lie on the card when they return after them Friday. — P. M. H. S. — There has been no school today so that the teachers can get the exams graded and the grades recorded for Friday. It hardly seems possible that the school year has drawn to a close once more! — P. M. H. 8. — This reporter would like to thank the Decatur Daily Democrat for the privilege of having a column from Pleasant Mills in the School Reporter.
