The slender American film star awakened today to find the sun shining on the tiny principality she will rule as princess. It was the first rainless day of the wedding week. But heavy clouds soon began to form to threaten more showers at tonight's serenade to Grace by 400 singers, dancers and musicians. Meanwhile, guests of the royal bridegroom and the princess-to-be clutched their jewels in the lightfingered fairyland. Rainier gave, private audiences this morning while Grace watched the fitting of white Swiss organdie dresses, embroidered with yellow and white daisies, pn four flower girls. Monday, while steeple bells sounded through incessant rain and Rainier and Grace rehearsed I helf cathedral wedding, stealthy thieves planned and executed the fourth Jewel robbery against the happy Philadelphia group of friends pf the bride. The latest victim was Mrs. Marie Pamp. She was clipped for SIO,OOO worth of clips, brooches, etc., Monday night — an affront which sent Rainier’s little police force out searching for allies from the detective forces of France, the United States and Europe's international police. The dragnet went out as far as Marseille, Paris, Rome and points even further north, south, east • and west. Among those called up ( at least for advice in the embarrassing situation was Frank Cresci, the crack, young, New York detective here as the prince's wedding guest. The prince was guarded during his NeW York stay by Cresci, and they became fast friends. Bejewelled Lady Norah Docker, wife of the British automobile tycoon whose yacht is much larger than Rainier's and anchored in Monte Carlo bay, said when Informed of the latest robbery: "They won’t get any of my jewels. After all, I live on a yacht.” Meanwhile. France is going to have two communiques -per day posted at the Maison de la Presse on her activities. At midday today.• Prince Pierre de Polignac, Rainier’s father, is ju tertai rii ng the male members of the Kelly family at cocktails at the Yacht club. , Tonight, 2.000 Monegasques are staging a spectacular pageant on .< Palace square which wiU include ' music by an American marine band and a performance by London's festival ballet.
