FORMER DECATUR MAN IS WED RECENTLY Miss Maxine Crawford recently became the bride of Robert Fonner, with the Rev. Miles B. Hays officiating for the single-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. J. J. (Tawford of Hamlin. Texas, and the bridegroom is the sop of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Fonner pf Willshire, ().. formerly of Decatur. The bride is a graduate of Hamlin high school and is now a senior student nurse at Hendrick memorial hospital in Abilene, Tex. Her husband was graduated from Willshire high school and recently completed a four-year tour of duty with the U.S.’ air force. Mr. and Mrs. Fonner are residing at 1201 North Nineteenth street'in Abilene. VALPARAISO GUILD TO SPONSOR HAM SUPPER Final plans are being completed for the ham supper to be held Sunday evening at the Zion parish hall, by the project committee of the Valparaiso guild, with Mrs. Elmer Bultemeier and Mrs. Edwin Graft as co-chairman. Featured with the ham supper will be home made pies and there Will be ladies to assist the children with fireir trays. Assizing Mra. The guild’s project fund this year will be used for furnishings for the guild chapel which will be a part of the large University church on the Valparaiso University campus to be constructed beginning this summer. The large chiireh will stat 3,000 students and the prayer chapel will seat about 350. and will be used for small weddings and prayer groups. The national guild will observe its silver anniversary this month. The public is invited to attend this Sunday evening supper. B. P. W.
