The British statesman, addressing an emergency meeting of the Illinois-Northern Indiana regional conference of the united Jewish appeal in Chicago Sunday warned that submission to blackmail “may result in a catastrophe not only for Israel but the entire democratic world.” Janner said that he has learned from "responsible quarters” that, the recent Communist consignment of arms to Egypt included 150 MIG fighters. Fifty of the planes are from the Czech air force. The rest of the 1250 million dollar shipment, Janner added, included 150 tanks and 500 pieces of artillery. He also claimed that 200 Soviet agents are in Arab nations to help with preparations for war against Israel. Janner asserted: “It is clear from Nasser’s (Egyptian premier) threats that he tends to use these and the arms that he has obtained from other countries in an attack on Israel once he feels that such an attack would be successful.” He warned that the Arab states which openly declare that they are at war with Israel In spite of the armistice agreement have boycotted Israel and are “determined to crash her out of existence.” — — ——————— — If you have something to sell or rooms for rent, try a Democrat Want Ad.
